Title: 1/20/2015
Post by: CigarBanter on January 20, 2015, 12:00:34 AM
Dang, it's Tuesday again?  In between insults we'll occasionally discuss cigars.  Join in and perhaps learn something along the way.  Be warned, post on this site and you will catch hell from members and trolls alike.  Therefore, don't proceed if you have thin skin.  If you can accept all that, light a cigar, pour a beverage and welcome aboard!

Jack had a blind date with Jill for the prom and, as the
evening progressed, he found himself attracted to her more and
more.

After some really passionate embracing, he said,"Tell me, do you
object to making love?"

"That is something I have never done before," Jill replied.

"Never made love? You mean you are a virgin?" Jack was amazed.

"No, silly!" she giggled. "Never objected!"

Morning men.  Won't be here for too long today, have to head for a fancy luncheon down in SA.  So get your Tuesday insults in while you can.
Jacket and tie fancy?
Or just "wear a shirt with sleeves" fancy?

Indeed.  Cloth napkins, too.  I'll try not to pick my nose or scratch my balls.
Or if you do, make sure you do it in that order.
Open bar?
Ha, no, it's a lunch.

Morning David, anxious to hear your thoughts on the Tat Series P you bought...once you smoke it of course, don't eat it
Had it Sunday as a matter of fact.  Rather uniform, medium range but a very pleasant smoke.  Not as nuanced as something like a Cabiguan, but in that general family.
Interesting, they can be had very cheap. You had the robusto?
Had the short robusto (4.5 x 52).

Doing a little more research, apparently the Series P is a mixed filler using mostly Havana VI tobacco.  I'll need to do a side by side soon....maybe throw a Cabiguan in there too.  Major difference withe the P was that it didn't have the spice I get from the Havana.

Morning, all.  Jalapeño cream cheese taquito to start the day, put back some beers last night.  My last Southern Tier Choklat and an EvilTwin Brewing Molotov Cocktail Single Simcoe Hop Edition.  The latter was 13% ABV and "only" $7 for a 22oz bottle.  Highly recommended.

It really feels like Tuesday now.  Even while on a diet, I still go into every 7eleven and ask if they have those taquitos.  Sadly, the answer is always no.

The robustos go for $29-$40/box
Where, at the devil?
Famous bid site, haven't checked for them at CBid
Don't see them at the devil right now. Thanks for the info.
A couple 5-packs are up now and a box of short robustos go tomorrow. Toros Thursday, robustos Friday
Had to stop myself from creating yet another account that I shouldn't have. Haha.
Do it.  Do it.  Dooooo iiiiiiiiiit!
I shan't!
You are a stronger man then I.
Nah, just poorer. lol
Not likely.  I'm so poor....
..... that you take in other people's laundry to wash .......... and sell it?
'm so poor, I can't even pay you a compliment.

I'm so poor, I was kickin' a can down the street and when someone asked me what I was doing, I said, "Movin'."

I'm so poor, that when someone rings the doorbell, I lean out the window and say, "DING!"

I'm so poor, I can't even put my two cents in the conversation.

I'm so poor, the bank repossessed my cardboard box.

I'm so poor, when I need new luggage, I have to go to Walmart....and can only afford the CHEAP garbage bags!

I went to McDonald's and put a milkshake on layaway.
I make my family eat cereal with a fork to save milk.

Morning, Tuesday Joe.

I was in K-Mart with a box of Hefty bags and when I asked what I was doing I replied, "Buying luggage."

It really feels like Tuesday now.  Even while on a diet, I still go into every 7eleven and ask if they have those taquitos.  Sadly, the answer is always no.

Been a while since I've had one, couldn't resist.  Walked out the door without eating breakfast.  They're so good!  Can't believe they don't have them out by you.  Morning, Tony.

Morning, Dave.  Just another day in the life.  Foggy out here this morning, couldn't see much on the roads.  Not that that slowed anyone down...

Next time I fly out to SD, you'll have to come with me.  We'll do taquito's, JWacky visits and beer tastings!

I've considered making my own.  In fact, I've just been inspired.  I'll pick up some jalapeños the next time I go shopping.  That won't be for a while though since I spent $400 on groceries yesterday.

My wife has a good recipe for bacon wrapped, cream cheese stuffed jalapenos.  So good!  And they're probably not nearly as bad for you as the 7-11 Taquitos since they're not fried.

Hey there, Scott.  I actually didn't know that it was still there, I thought it was something else when I reached for it.  Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised.  See if you can find that EvilTwin IPA I had, definitely worth a purchase, I think you'd like it.  I'd put it right up there with the Stone IPAs you and I have enjoyed.  Reviews didn't sound all that promising but I figured it'd be tough to go wrong at that price point.

I don't know how available it really is out here, but my go-to shop always has a bunch.  It's not at BevMo, though.  Most of their stuff is incredibly expensive so I was surprised to see this at only $7.  Nobody working at the shop had tried it yet but they described the flavors of Simcoe hops and it sounded good.  Citrusy but also had that 'dank' flavor that I get in the Stone Enjoy By beers.

Seriously.  I thought the whole goal of stores like 7-11 was to pretty much have the same exact inventory at all stores, all the time.  It would be like some McDonalds not having Big Macs.

I've considered making my own.  In fact, I've just been inspired.  I'll pick up some jalapeños the next time I go shopping.  That won't be for a while though since I spent $400 on groceries yesterday.
You got a deep fryer?
I used to.  Hmmm, what the fuck ever happened to that thing?  I planned on using a cast iron skillet filled with oil.  I'll be the only one in the family partaking so I'm not gonna be making that many.
Had them at my downtown 7-11 so got one as an appetizer before my hot dog.  First bite said Good!
WTF is going on in the Northeast?

Seriously.  I thought the whole goal of stores like 7-11 was to pretty much have the same exact inventory at all stores, all the time.  It would be like some McDonalds not having Big Macs.
No, they all have regional offerings, McD's as well.

In addition to the regular stuff.  Guess they figure you east coast people can't handle jalapeños.  Speaking of regional offerings and also speaking of McDonalds, I saw that they're now offering chorizo burritos here.  Now, I do enjoy chorizo, but I don't trust it at McDonalds.  Seems like a guaranteed way to give yourself the shits.

Some McDonalds in PA have soft pretzels, there is a McKinley Mac in Alaska, McCrab and McLobster.  Lots of different stuff ex-US

We're lucky we can handle the sun. We see that about as often as you have a taquito - once a week.

Would you consider not inhaling?  I know that's an almost impossible endeavor.  When I used to smoke cigarettes too, I would often get confused.  I retrohale a lot but never even accidentally inhale anymore.

Paying attention is a scary thing when driving!  Home, clothes changed and a V Robusto cut for the walk.
