Revisiting the young Mag50, still not a very good smoke till you get to the last 1/3 IMO. They need way more than a year. I'm thinking any Cuban with a RG over 40 needs five years to deliver what we pay for them. 2/3 of mediocrity to get to the payoff is way to much work for me.
Dave, I liked it a lot more than you did. hard to call it mediocre cigar, the first 1/3 was good and last 1/3 was great.

Evening gents!  Celebration fire with the completion of the shed.  Burning the scraps, bourbon & scotch, and a few choice sticks!

DD I think it's all BS, we can't all like the same things. I'm happy you enjoyed it and that's all that maters. We can talk ourselves into likening or disliking something, and reviews tend to do that. Part of my disappointment was expecting more than I got out of the cigar. If it had a Gurkha band, I may have said, "this cigars pretty good". Who gives a fuck, smoke what you like and if you don't then don't buy any more. That's the best review of all.

In 1925, the so-called "Monkey Trial" ended in Dayton, Tennessee, with John T. Scopes found guilty of violating state law for teaching Darwin's Theory of Evolution. (The conviction was later overturned on a technicality.)
