Yes, it was. A family in Summit, NJ hosted this get together and it was quite remarkable. There must have been 30 incoming freshman, their parents, a couple of friars, and a bunch of alum. It was held in their backyard but they opened the house for the use of restrooms.
Not sure I would ever be so generous. Gorgeous house and grounds though.
