Those are indeed nice, but may be overkill (especially Tony ;) Dean may find other uses) if you're not doing some real demo. He's talking about cutting roots. Equivalent being, buying a $500 Stihl chainsaw to cut dirt that just ends up ruining it.

Those are indeed nice, but may be overkill (especially Tony ;) Dean may find other uses) if you're not doing some real demo. He's talking about cutting roots. Equivalent being, buying a $500 Stihl chainsaw to cut dirt that just ends up ruining it.

I can understand that. I don't like most garden tools in the cordless variety, but I had to pick up a hedge trimmer for the Ryobi 18v because the warden was going through too many extension cords. :o
I have been pretty happy with most of the tools in that line. Even used the reciprocating saw to cut out a few door frames when I replaced them.

Morning, all! Eagerly awaiting my Oliva Connecticut petite coronas for a morning smoke! First batch of V tubos should be here tomorrow, and another on Monday or Tuesday. I did see the first batch was in Vernon, CA (20 miles away or so) yesterday afternoon. Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll show a day ahead of schedule.
I see I was paged for the LHCs. Haha. With the Cusano magnums on the way, I probably wouldn't spring for more knock-arounds. But thanks for the heads up!

i have that reciprocating saw, and some new blades, in my garage, as well as a compressor and nail gun from the basement renovation. Save the receipt, they have a garentee on their tools, will gladly replace. now my buddy burnt out my electric drill, using it to mix cement for under the new tile in five gallon buckets.For the amount I will be using it, it doesn't make sense. $20 for an occasionally used tool is fine. But if I need to buy a compressor too, it's a whole nutha ball of wax.The term "Sawzall" is like "Band Aid", it's a Milwaukee patent so technically everything else is a reciprocating saw. Cool. That was what I suspected. I imagined that the Monte would be a little more bodied than a typical connie shade (whatever that is). I've also read that the Oliva is a little more towards the med side than the mild, for a connie. Some of the reviews on the usual vendors almost say it is a little too full for a connie. Yes! That's my plan. A good morning/afternoon /everyday cigar that is quality but not overpowering. A daily full bodied is a bit much for me. I think I like the fuller smokes a couple times a week. ;)

I was thinking the first one, too. Most of my cigars are loose. And I already have the digital! It's held up fine for several years now. Salt-tested when new and it was bang on then. It probably still is.

Just due to the population size? They're always the same brand, though. The one add says "open box" but I suspect they're buying 'em in bulk from China.

I spent at least 1 day a week driving through the Dry Creek, Alexander, and Sonoma Valley wine areas. Beautiful countryside, and great clients. Very friendly people up there. It is nice up there. I lived in Three Rivers at the entrance to Sequoia National Park for about 7 months when they were rebuilding the park road. Also a matter that a wine fridge is not much needed in western WA. Mean average temp around 38°. Solid reasoning. Probably better ways to spend my money. I did really enjoy the G again today. I've had several over the years, and it's one that has grown on me. Thinking seriously about the Nubs before the mash is over.I think the nubs are a good deal. They do take deceivingly long to smoke because of the thick ring guage. Couldn't tell you a good price for the Gs because I haven't bought them in forever. I think I paid $1.50 each for them in 2009, but I could just be talking out my ass. Dwgbryant can probably give you a better idea in the morning. I believe he smokes them regularly.

Ya. Slightly cheaper per cigar. More of em. Ha. I just wonder how them being so much smaller affects the taste..You will really taste the wrapper which is arguably the most flavorful leaf. A lot of the guys on here, including me, enjoy the smaller ring guages for that reason. Plus, I'd personally rather smoke two smaller cigars than one big one.

I HAVE held off on both the $4 Laranjas and the G shorties... It's a good thing the V double robo tubos are gone, though, or I'd probably have a third box of those coming. Wedding buddy (who is in Canada) was asking about sending him cigars today. He's who I had the second box in mind for. Not sure I'll give him the box, but I will be taking a selection when I head up for his bach.
