Don't be a turkey!  Join in this discussion and perhaps learn something about cigars along the way.  Be warned, post on this site and you will catch hell from members and trolls alike.  Therefore, don't proceed if you have thin skin.  If you can accept all that, light a cigar, pour a beverage of your choice and welcome aboard!

So, I take it Tony's trying to pin-down Dave this week for a herf, what lit a fire under his ass?

Good morning boys! Not happy to be back from FL but what the heck can you do?
Good week?
Very nice, was 75 degrees and sunny early on and warmed to 84 by the time we left, sunny the whole week. Spent most of the time at the beach and pool
But no date with Dean?
No, we touched on it briefly but I was 4 hours south of him
What's four hours for a BOTL....heck thats just a day's work commute.

I would think so because the weather timing is all important with Duck Hunting and it was about perfect.

How was your Sunday, LTG?  Already know how Dean's was.  :)
Pretty good. Wife was at work and kids went to the movies with my parents, so I enjoyed an afternoon smoke. Oh, and the Stillers lost. All in all, a pretty good day.

Landlord should put you up in her place till she gets it fixed.
You should spend a week in upstate NY and re-learn to appreciate not needing heat
when it's 48° I need heat!

WTF?  Those Dakota foul are skittish.....in NJ, just walk up to the lake or lawns around the lake and start blasting....heck they'll even walk up to you.
Only problem is our hunting season is pretty short......November 24 6-8 bow and arrow, 8-11:30 small game, 12-2 buck, 2-3 doe.

Not so here for Deer - Guns of anykind except rimfire bucks and does from the first Saturday in November to mid January, then a 2 week youth season.  Archery starts the 1st week or so of October then runs to the end of gun season.  And we are still over run with deer everywhere.

Damn!  Yeah it's awesome being in those field blinds - really cool experience.  The whole hunt was on video, I will share once he gets it stitched together!

I don't need a blind or stand or even my gun.  Hell, I can reach out my back door and stab a 10 pt buck with a steak knife....except of course that they're twice as big as the ones you see.

Morning men.  Just a couple hours here before heading out.  I see that it's shaping up to be another "not to be missed" jam, though.
morning Mark.
Jam, what Jam?
Heck of a Victor Sinclair deal right now, with a downright gurkha-est 72% discount.  Oh yeah!
On clearance they have VS seconds....is that even possible?

Just whitetail, but they're fed all year on manicured lawns and ample landscaping.  I would say bucks average 150-180.

Morning Antnee and Littlefish.
How's Thursday looking for you?  That question goes for you too, Scott.
It's looking like the day after Wednesday, what's cookin'? Planning on being late to something?
I'd like to try.  What say you?
Not sure, my weekly routine has changed significantly since changing my hours and getting the kids off the bus. I'd probably have to meet later than I've been, would need to wait for the wife to get home before I could get on the road
So in other words I'll be sitting there by myself for two hours and you'll get there the same time as Tony.
Probably, but I'll get there when I say I'm going to be there, unlike Tony

here in the hill country nice older 8-10 pt might go 140 but usually closer to 125.  I bagged a larger 13 point several years ago and he was about 145.   NOt so big where there is almost nothing to eat most of the time.  Now down in South Tx they got some bigger deer that can run in the 165-180 range with massive racks.

And this used to be my favorite vitola too.  Either they don't age so well or my preferences have changed drastically over the years.  This used to be a top 5 cigar for me and now I wouldn't keep it on my "to buy" list.  Price isn't that attractive either.

Hey Tony, Media Noche's for you.
And this used to be my favorite vitola too.  Either they don't age so well or my preferences have changed drastically over the years.  This used to be a top 5 cigar for me and now I wouldn't keep it on my "to buy" list.  Price isn't that attractive either.
We all tend to change our likes and dislikes but many times circle back around too.  Travellin Dave's Fault!

Don't forget, last time he arrived BEFORE you!
I beg to differ, last time was at your house and I was 2 beers in before he trotted up the driveway.

Did he make it to the Princeton B&M before me that last time? An absolute fluke IF that's what happenned
Obvious fabrication. Tony doesn't trot.
Neeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiigh!

So enough with the bullshitting.  Are you guys interested in getting together or not?  Perhaps you know of a decent B&M in the Flemington area?  Just looking for a middle ground.
Don't think there is anything near Flemington, just Princeton.  Only one I know of in that area is Ashes and Embers in Somerville, but I've never been there.  Brick House in South Plainfield says you can smoke there....north of that is more in your area of influence.
I wouldn't mind visiting a "new to all of us" shop.  I'll already be south and I don't want to inconvenience anyone so I'd prefer to keep the herf below Route 78.
Where are you going to be?

Our blinds at night and the front part of our setup.  We did about 3 dozen geese behind us, 1 dozen in front of us, 1 dozen ducks in front of us and 4 robos.

I don't need a blind or stand or even my gun.  Hell, I can reach out my back door and stab a 10 pt buck with a steak knife....except of course that they're twice as big as the ones you see.
Do you guys have mule deer up there or are they whitetails?  We just get the whiteys, little babies but man they taste good!
Just whitetail, but they're fed all year on manicured lawns and ample landscaping.  I would say bucks average 150-180.
Yeah that's about our size, maybe a little smaller, lots around 200-260...or, the ones worth shooting.
here in the hill country nice older 8-10 pt might go 140 but usually closer to 125.  I bagged a larger 13 point several years ago and he was about 145.   NOt so big where there is almost nothing to eat most of the time.  Now down in South Tx they got some bigger deer that can run in the 165-180 range with massive racks.

Bingo...the JAM should be special pricing, not this shit.  If this was $30, I would consider it, but I would still probably pass.  The thousand series are $4/ea to me, so I have a hard time paying $18 for  cigar that's not even that much at a B&M

Just going through this month's CA. You'll all be happy to know the Tempus Maduro got a 90.
Make sure to let LSU Chip know that.
I saw that, good thing there is not a shortage of them.
Geez, I didn't even notice until now that they were already up today. Good lord.

Got their ass beat DOWN!  Was nice to see the streak come to an end(I'm a UND grad, not an NDSU grad) but still surprising.  They looked awful, no sustained offence at all.  UND however swept Wisconsin at hockey over the weekend!(in Wisco).   ;D

Continental Resources CEO Harold Hamm will pay a nearly $1 billion divorce settlement to his ex-wife, according to an Oklahoma County court filing released Monday.

Sue Ann Hamm will recieve $955.5 million in total, Special Judge Howard Haralson ruled, with $322.7 million to be paid by the end of 2014. And starting in January, the remaining $650 million bill will be paid in monthly installments of $7 million, plus 5.25 percent interest.

I did a little of that and then the wife put the kibosh on the whole thing.  She has a PTA thing that is mandatory.  So this week is bad.  The place I was looking at was Tobacco Barn in Piscataway.  Looks to be about equidistant to all of us.  I haven't called them yet to find out their hours but I will.
