just back from the ER, knee pain, I couldn't walk, took an hour to get something on to wear and dig out my cane. thankfully no damage to my knee, just a severe RA flare.

They are the only thing that will give you long-term relief and limit the permanent damage. since 2003 the only DMARD that I am still on is methotrexate. all others have done significant damage to my body, especially my liver. most biologics were not effective, currently using CIMZIA, about $5,000 a month, not counting various other meds. best stuff is prednisone but after 15 years although effective has done damage to my eyes. teeth, and bones. the side effects are terrible. considering stem cell treatment.I'm not a doctor but have some experience here.
