I've found it interesting that most bombshell actresses are really rather average without the makeup and, er, 'supporting lingerie' or whatever. I was in Chicago to teach a class back in 2001 or so. I was having a smoke outside the (then) IBM building on Wacker Drive, and a woman pulling a suitcase asked me if I knew where the W Hotel was. I pointed to it, catercorner two blocks away. She thanked me and went on her way. I didn't give her a second look, but as I went back inside something was catching in my brain - something about her voice, and accent. I was in the elevator when it hit me. It was Rhona Mitra. I'd just encountered one of the sexiest women on the planet - according to magazines - and didn't even give her a second glance.

She is not hard on the eyes at all.  Make-up does do interesting things however.  Neighbor showed me a picture of her granddaughter who was in a fashion show last week.  Looked like she was in her 20's...tall at about 5'9", dress, make-up, hair etc.  The girl is 10 !
