Thinking about ordering Padron Family Res. 85 maduro. Never had a padron, but folks sing praises. Are these stogies really that good. I know taste is subjective, but wonder if Id be better off buying some v melanios or Liga 9s instead.Padron's are very nice cigars, but also very pricy. LP9s are also enjoyed by many but pricy as well. Oliva V's are less than half the price of the others. All are worth trying at one time or another, mostly a matter of if you have the extra cash to spend. Generally speaking, there are a lot of great cigars in the price range of the V's or even lower. You don't necessarily get a cigar that's 4x better for $20.

If you're serious the Sculpin is lighter and fruitier, the Dale's is a bit more "in your face" with hops and bitterness (in a good way). The Avery is somewhere between those 2 and the RuinTen is in another league. The bottle says "A stage dive into a mosh pit of hops" and it's true, powerful yet doesn't make you wince, just really good and strongCan you please compare that to Sculpin? Stopped by my B&M Friday and he had a few boxes of AJ's New World blend. Gave one a try, good cigar. Not going to knock you socks off but for the price point, it was a very good deal.
