Having seen the Wings of the City sculptures, I'm not sure what the councilman means by "extreme nudity."  The genitalia is not particularly defined.  On the other hand, I'm wondering exactly what values and ideals of Greenville - or any city - the sculptures are supposed to represent.

Ah, there it is.  The Genetic Fallacy masquerading as "enlightenment."  You must have been top of your class in college.

Yeah, sorry, but "ohmygod there's a penis on that art!" has southern "morality" written all over it. While genetic fallacy was clearly behind my initial reaction, I feel that the article itself proved what I expected it to. Is a stereotype still a stereotype when it's proved to be true?

I would love to hear a debate about nudity v. extreme nudity, cause I'm dying to hear the subtle differences involved.
