The Wise  Veterinarian
-------------------------

The only cow in a small Kentucky town stopped giving milk. The people did
some research and found that they could buy a cow just across the state
line in Illinois for $200.

They brought the cow from Illinois and the cow was wonderful. It produced
lots of milk all of the time, and the people were very happy.

They decided to acquire a bull to mate with the cow to produce more cows
like it. They would never have to worry about their milk supply again.

They bought the bull and put it in the pasture with their beloved cow.
However, whenever the bull tried to mount the cow, the cow would move
away. No matter what approach the bull tried, the cow would move away from
the bull and he could not succeed in his quest. The people were very upset
and decided to ask the Vet, who was very wise, what to do.

They told the Vet what was happening. "Whenever the bull tries to mount
our cow, she moves away. If he approaches from the back, she moves
forward. When he approaches her from the front, she backs off. An attempt
from the side, she walks away to the other side."

The Vet thought about this for a minute and asked, "Did you by chance, buy
this cow in Illinois?"

The people were dumbfounded, since no one had ever mentioned where they
bought the cow. "You are truly a wise Vet," they said. "How did you know
we got the cow in Illinois?"

The Vet replied with a distant look in his eye, "My wife is from
Illinois."

LMAO!
Speaking of my office and LMAO going to work might be fun and interesting again for a short while at least.  read in the news yesterday that the DOJ/FBI are investigating +\- 5 people for some illicit activities surrounding a project.  Probably at least one if not 2 are very high on the food chain.  Does not involve anyone or any activities from my office, should mostly be from our HQ office.

Corporate tip of the day:   Be careful what you say in an office email!!!  One has already been published in the news.

No inside info here all has been published in multiple local and National media outlets.

Charlie might have a bunch of guys meeting us up there too.  I've met them all at his b&m and they seem like a nice group.  I guess if you don't mind the extra folks, we'd be willing to cookout there.  I'll bring my mini grill just in case and play it by ear.
Sounds like a plan. The more the merrier, so long as you all don't piss on the couch or something. Lol
We're all civilized.  Besides I'm sure we'll smell the fact that Scott will already have marked his territory.
Consider yourself lucky if I don't mark you!

Good morning fellas. At this time next Friday I should be pulling into Split Rock, popping 3 Advil and attempting to limber up so LTG doesn't kick my ass too badly on the course. Is anyone other than Dave and I excited? Don't answer that, Dean's Penis

LALTS Nate and I will be there the day before he will, he's gonna have a hard time finding something we haven't already marked.
I'm likely driving up Friday AM as well, from either NJ or Landsale, PA area, not sure where I'll be Thursday night yet.
Try for the AJ event. Always a good time.
I see there's a SoA event Thursday afternoon.  That the one?  Maybe I can slip away from the jobsite early.  I'll be the one in the hard hat.
That's it. Used to be a MoW event, so not sure how much it will change with the new brand being showcased. Hopefully, they keep the girly girls.

No, she gets annoyed if I sit and try to talk with her, by the end of the week she's burnt out
from 3 double shifts at the cosmetology school, and a day in the hair salon(working), plus she knows
she has to be out of the house early the next morning, back at the salon.  she may have to go in to cover
for another teacher who's called in sick or on vacation.  I buy vodka & triple sec, for her cosmopolitan's.

Afternoon, CFesters. Looks like the Redfish has the right idea today... nice.
Who knows might even catch me a Redfish wading the flats.

Afternoon BS

Figured it would be a little slow here at lunchtime, but thought I'd jump in to say hello.

You figure out what you're putting in the cooler, or still doing the taste tests?  ;D

Did you say Corpus this weekend?  Nice.  I could do with an SPI weekend myself.
Actually Aransas Pass area.  We go almost every year for the Rock The Dock boat show, music, eating and drinking experience at the Redfish Bay Marina.

King Arthur: Old woman!
Dennis: Man.
King Arthur: Man, sorry. What knight lives in that castle over there?
Dennis: I'm 37.
King Arthur: What?
Dennis: I'm 37. I'm not old.
King Arthur: Well I can't just call you "man".
Dennis: Well you could say "Dennis".
King Arthur: I didn't know you were called Dennis.
Dennis: Well you didn't bother to find out, did you?
King Arthur: I did say sorry about the "old woman", but from behind you looked...
Dennis: What I object to is you automatically treat me like an inferior.
King Arthur: Well, I am king.
Dennis: Oh, king eh? Very nice. And how'd you get that, eh? By exploiting the workers. By hanging on to outdated imperialist dogma which perpetuates the economic and social differences in our society.

La Perla Habana Black Pearl Belicoso (6.2"x52) 10 CIGARS (78% savings!) $27.50
Completely forgot there was a jam going on.  Good afternoon, fellas.
Easily forgettable. Happy Friday, Tony!
Until the PF's came up... now there's an error. Fvckers!
Error on the pricing, as in higher.  Sorry, that dog don't hunt.
Yup. Saw that. Must want you to buy the new boxes of 50 to get any discount.
Yeah, but as I recall not terribly tempting by the box, either.
Single box sale beats a couple of Jam offerings.  Greetings and salutations Marky.

NYDave posted this the other day. 50 ct. boxes of Papas Fritas in at Atlantic.  VIP price of $190.95 or $3.82/Frit.
The old 8/35 was $4.37
Ah, the Atlantic VIP.  That would not be me.  I always thought the PF's should be $35/10, anyway, so a moot point.  Just bitchin'

What's the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
An African or European swallow?

Very good, CB
Auuuuuuuugh!  Strangely, my dad was a Monty Python fan back in the day.  Kids thought it was funny and could quote most of the classic lines from the movie.

They are classics for sure. I used to catch the Flying Circus on PBS.

WTF is that all about?  You better get your scrawny ass on here for 6 posts tomorrow or I'm deleting your ID.

Don't worry, that will go limp in a few...
Sheesh.  It's been a crazy day.  Looking forward to splitting soon.  I'm considering smoking a Four Kicks on the walk to the station.  Fucking cold out there though.

I've never tried 'em. Probably because it's mild(er) than I normally choose. As far as RP's go, I would agree with your assessment of inconsistency. Use to enjoy the Decade and The Edge Corojo. They never seemed to reignite the interest after the last couple purchases. I did, however, like the Nicaraguan Torpedo that was a freebie from a Famous order.

Good morning fellas. At this time next Friday I should be pulling into Split Rock, popping 3 Advil and attempting to limber up so LTG doesn't kick my ass too badly on the course. Is anyone other than Dave and I excited? Don't answer that, Dean's Penis
I'm pretty psyched.  I probably should tell my wife I'm not gonna be around next Friday.
Think she'd notice?
Oh, she'll notice.  I do everything in my house.  She's gonna have to figure out how to feed and bathe the kids.  Payday should take the edge off though.
Barry/bearb answered my PM from a few days ago and says he will be at CFest for the whole weekend and is looking forward to seeing the banter folk.  I asked him if he was avoiding the banter(s) because of anything anyone had said.  He said, "No", he's not easily offended, it's just that life has gotten in the way of his bantering.  He even had forgotten the web address for this banter.  He really is looking forward to seeing guys and mentioned 3 ways of texting that he said he will be using to stay in touch. He asked that I find out who will be at CFest and for which days.
So, please post and can you PM me as to what days you'll be at CFest and what day your ticket is for? I'll PM him.  I don't use nor have even heard of the text formats he mentioned (one is Text Plus) that he will be using. Remember he is from Ontario, Canada and is the mayor of CigarFest.  I just gave him my phone number and e-mail address.

I wouldn't worry about as ass kicking, I still have to hit the ball. Morning, Scott.
I could join you guys for golf, to make Scott feel better.  The only thing is when I approach the T to hit the ball, everyone has to be wearing helmets and flack jackets, even I would be wearing a cup ... you never know which direction the ball might go and with how much force.

Thompson Cigars is the original creator of "Bait and Switch".
I just wanted a DrawPoker but got talked into this sampler for $20 more.
I thought I love the Montecristo White and the AVO and GrayCliff are smokable cigars, the others make for handouts or yardgars. They send me this POS! So return the cigars for full credit and keep the DrawPoker as a gift. I'm cool with that. Now I need to watch my CC to make sure they didn't SLAM me into the the Cigar of the Month Club, sheesh.

I just made the best frigging popcorn, I have ever eaten.  First, I popped the corn in hot vegetable oil in a large lidded pot.  Then I melted down a stick of margarine and about a third of a stick of butter, then stirred in a few teaspoons of crushed garlic, blended it in and let it cook until light brown.  Poured it over and mixed it in with the popcorn (about two pots worth in a large clean grocery store brown paper bag.
I can barely taste the garlic, it just has this buttery sweet taste to it, I can't quite explain.  It's ruining my plans to make crabcakes and corn on the cob ... I'm too full to care.

I know.  I usually keep it more healthful, by only lightly salting the popcorn.  However, referring to what I think you are intimating ... it used to be illegal to sell margarine in Minnesota, then it could only be sold in it's original unappetizing white color with a packet of yellow food coloring separately.  I only had one stick of margaine, and figured I would sacrifice that ... however, I'm glad I added the butter, because I think that's where the sweetness came from.

I'm embarrassed to say it, but I've had to return a good number of things to Thompson, and haven't had any serious complications.  They make it hard to get out of the auto ship program, and have shipped things ahead of the date (which I keep pushing out).  So, I may try one or two, usually it's dry, hard to draw or tasteless and have to send them back.  The one thing I have enjoyed is very occasionally the 5 pack deal where the more you get the better the deal, so 4 "5 packs" for $79.99 of high quality sticks. (usually in the monthly catalog).  Tat Havanas have been part of the deal, but you can't order more than one of each 5 pack.

See you later guys. Going to a lecture being given by a representative of the Magis Center : From Nothing to Cosmos: God and Contemporary Science ... Center was founded by a Catholic priest, who is also a PhD in Physics (Jesuit who taught at Georgetown, Seattle U. and Gonzaga U. in Spokane).  Brilliant guy with a sense of humor, who shows the compatibility of Faith and Science ... when both are considered honestly, outside of pre-conceived notions and ideologies ... His point: Truth is truth ... follow the Truth, fearlessly, charitably, where it takes you.  (I hope that's an accurate portrayal) ... check out the website, I've heard a couple of CD's on various topics ... great stuff even if I don't quite understand "String Theory".
