NATE MOVING FARTHER INLAND OVER MISSISSIPPI AND ALABAMA... ...RAPID WEAKENING ANTICIPATED...

Nate made 2 U.S. landfalls with both at Cat-1 strength, first at the mouth of the MS River around Port Eads, LA where there is nothing except a marina and lighthouse and the second on the east side of Gulfport, MS.  Quite a bit of storm surge flooding from Biloxi, MS to Pensacola, FL with Mobile, AL probably seeing the worst of it.

According to the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement, it is estimated that approximately 71.1 percent of the current oil production and 53.2 percent of the natural gas production in the Gulf of Mexico has been shut-in. Gasoline and natural gas prices may rise as a result.
