A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Vieques, and Culebra.
At 500 AM AST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Erika was located near latitude 16.1 North, longitude 56.0 West. Erika is moving toward the west near 18 mph (30 km/h), and a west to west-northwestward motion at a slightly slower forward speed is expected over the next 48 hours. On the forecast track, the center of Erika will move near or over portions of the Leeward Islands tonight and move near the Virgin Islands on Thursday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Some slow strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours.

Wild Harvest Wednesday: Shrimp
SHRIMP IN BASIL BUTTER
Whether you take the do it yourself route by learning to handle a cast net or simply buy your shrimp at a local grocery or seafood market, this super-abundant crustacean lends itself to a wide variety of preparation techniques. This one combines the appealing taste of the versatile herb, basil, with real butter, pasta, cheese and shrimp for a filling main dish.
• Ľ cup torn fresh basil
• 1 ˝ sticks butter, softened (use the real thing)
• 1 teaspoon minced garlic
• Ľ teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
• Ľ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
• 16 ounces fresh linguini or angel hair pasta
• 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled
• Butter for sautéing
Combine the basil, 1 ˝ cups butter, garlic, salt, pepper, and cheese in a food processor and run until smooth. Refrigerate, covered (can be kept for up to three days). Cook pasta al dente using package directions. Sauté the shrimp in butter in a large skillet for two to three minutes or until they turn pink.

Indeed.Don't this sound good!It doesn't sound bad but it's a little short on garlic. Plus I'm not crazy about recipes you have to start 3 days in advance.
Wild Harvest Wednesday: Shrimp
SHRIMP IN BASIL BUTTER
Whether you take the do it yourself route by learning to handle a cast net or simply buy your shrimp at a local grocery or seafood market, this super-abundant crustacean lends itself to a wide variety of preparation techniques. This one combines the appealing taste of the versatile herb, basil, with real butter, pasta, cheese and shrimp for a filling main dish.
• Ľ cup torn fresh basil
• 1 ˝ sticks butter, softened (use the real thing)
• 1 teaspoon minced garlic
• Ľ teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
• Ľ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
• 16 ounces fresh linguini or angel hair pasta
• 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled
• Butter for sautéing
Combine the basil, 1 ˝ cups butter, garlic, salt, pepper, and cheese in a food processor and run until smooth. Refrigerate, covered (can be kept for up to three days). Cook pasta al dente using package directions. Sauté the shrimp in butter in a large skillet for two to three minutes or until they turn pink.
Toss the butter mixture, which should be removed from the refrigerator in advance to soften, with the shrimp and pasta in a large bowl. Top with additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Makes four hefty servings.

Yes, it's short on garlic. But if you add more garlic it becomes scampi. No, you don't have to start three days in advance. The refrigeration is only required if you really want the basil to infuse the sauce.
And now I'm hungry.
I will soon try it and add more garlic, more black pepper and a touch of red pepper. Recipes are generally designed for the weak at heart and usually need a little boost here and there to suit your own taste.

It's not too bad... I just hate getting the groceries for my deadbeat brother-in-law. My wife goes over every Friday and buys groceries, 30 pack of beer, 1.7L of cheep vodka, cigarettes, and lotto tickets. Last week she missed up on his lotto tickets, and he came running out of the house yelling as we were getting in to the truck to leave. He plays the daily lotto, with multiplier, different amounts of tickets each week, some with the same numbers, and it is confusing. Even the person selling the tickets couldn't understand what she told him he wanted. If they are out of an item, and you buy him the closest thing too it, he will throw it into the trash. It's her little brother (in his 50's), and she takes the shit from him, so be it. If it was me, I'm 63 and getting forgetful. I forget to go over there a few times. Dean has one token non-deadbeat...his daughter.It's not too bad... I just hate getting the groceries for my deadbeat brother-in-law. My wife goes over every Friday and buys groceries, 30 pack of beer, 1.7L of cheep vodka, cigarettes, and lotto tickets. Last week she missed up on his lotto tickets, and he came running out of the house yelling as we were getting in to the truck to leave. He plays the daily lotto, with multiplier, different amounts of tickets each week, some with the same numbers, and it is confusing. Even the person selling the tickets couldn't understand what she told him he wanted. If they are out of an item, and you buy him the closest thing too it, he will throw it into the trash. It's her little brother (in his 50's), and she takes the shit from him, so be it. If it was me, I'm 63 and getting forgetful. I forget to go over there a few times. He retired at 17, the same as his older brother. They just came home from school one day and sat in front of the tv and that was that. The older brother sat there for about 4 years before he decided to get up. He's been sponging off the family off and on until about 5 years ago he got a job on a fishing boat in Hawaii. My sister-in-law gave him $4,000 so he could get a new start. Well, it turned out that the guys on the fishing boat were all drunks and only wanted to drink. When his $4,000 ran out, he called home for a ticket to return. Thank god my sister-in-law turned a deaf ear on him, so he's been stuck in Hawaii ever since. I assume he's on some sort of aid. The younger of the two that we deal with, join the Marines when he turned 18. For over 2 years from 16 to 18 that's all we heard about, Marines, Marines, Marines...! So he joined and ended his Marines career in about 3 weeks. At least he had some thing to fall back on, sitting in the basement watching tv. I think he's waiting to collect Soc. Sec., but hey, I wonder if he knows, "Ya gotta pay into Soc. Sec. in order to correct it...!!! There's nothing wrong with him, but I'm sure that living by himself for years has effected him. He has a friend that drives him around, but just not to the grocery store, lottery places, or gas station to get gas for his lawn mower. I really don't blame him since his parents let him do this. But he's a real pain in the ass and throws tantrums at the drop of a hat. I wonder if he would like to go to Hawaii..?It's not too bad... So he joined and ended his Marines career in about 3 weeks. At least he had some thing to fall back on, sitting in the basement watching tv. I think he's waiting to collect Soc. Sec., but hey, I wonder if he knows, "Ya gotta pay into Soc. Sec. in order to correct it...!!! There's nothing wrong with him, but I'm sure that living by himself for years has effected him. But that's changing all over the country, because of the rise of online shopping. It's an ongoing legal battle, with states trying to demand that vendors collect sales tax and report sales to the states where purchases originate.
In any case, here in Washington, transfer agents are required to collect the tax.

Yes and yes but the in state dealer simply performs the registration and background check process for a small transfer fee normally around $20-30. You don't pay sales tax to that transfer dealer on the gun anywhere I ever heard of except now Washington state. Now of course if the Walmart lobbyist gets their way congress is going to change the law to make vendors collect out of state sales tax and tobacco taxes which will fuk everything including cigars.
