Join in this discussion and perhaps learn something about cigars along the way.  Be warned, you will catch hell if you post something everyone doesn't agree with.  And heaven forbid if you should make a grammatical error, you'll be berated with GFYs!  So don't proceed if you have thin skin.  Especially on a Tuesday.  Then light a cigar, pop open your favorite pumpkin beer and welcome aboard!

Well I know you weren't expecting company, so I'll leave you alone, Chip.  LOL. I should really hit the rack.  I was up working and then when I finished, I started doing some CigarBanter work.  I'll pick it up later in the morning.  Have a good one.

Just Fred
-------------------------

A cop stops a car for traveling faster than the posted speed limit.
Since he's in a good mood that day he decides he might give the fellow a
break and write him out a warning instead of a ticket.

So, he asks the man his name.

"Fred," the driver replies.

"Fred what?" the officer asks.

"Just Fred," the man responds.

When the officer presses him for a last name, the man tells him that he
used to have a last name but lost it.

The officer thinks he has a nut case on his hands but plays along with
it.

"Tell me Fred, how did you lose your last name?"

The man replies, "It's a long story so stay with me. I was born Fred
Dingaling. I know, funny last name. The kids used to tease me all the
time. So I stayed to myself. I studied hard and got good grades.

"When I got older I realized that I wanted to be a doctor. I went
through college medical school, internship, residency, finally got my
degree so I was Fred Dingaling, MD.

"After a while I got bored being a doctor so I decided to go back to
school. Dentistry was my dream. Got all the way through school, got my
degree so I was now Fred Dingaling, MD, DDS.

"Got bored doing dentistry so I started fooling around with my
assistant. She gave me VD. So, I was Fred Dingaling, MD, DDS with VD.

Well, the ADA found out about the VD so they took away my DDS so I was
Fred Dingaling MD with VD.

Then the AMA found out about the ADA taking away my DDS because of the
VD, so they took away my MD leaving me as Fred Dingaling with VD.

Then the VD took away my dingaling . . . so now I'm just Fred."

The officer walked away in tears, laughing.

May or may not be a personal safety issue but certainly would have the appearance of a fraud opportunity.  The pictures of the large humi appear to have had some changes too but not sure.  Big key is the typo's in the ad.

Morning sleepy slackers and this 2-fer is enough to get excited about (I know that because a troll said so) it is now Cheerful Tuesday!  Tony is excluded from the Slackers today as he was working on our Bantering behalf in the wee hours of the morning.  Give that man a donut!
No, fuck you.  I'm a slacker too!  Plus, no donuts until further notice.  :)
Just does not pay to be nice to some people!   :)
That was nice?  In that case, I'm sorry.  I just assumed you were scheming.  Product of my environment.

Simmer down and remember why you are there - price is very right and it was available to you when you needed it and could not find a damn thing else.  You can't rent a vacant campler parking space anywhere else down there for what you are paying.  Smoke a good cigar it will be ok.

Drew thinks it will relieve him of the stress of running the business and let him concentrate on the products more
Except that the guys that have left were the ones responsible for most of those good blends.

If anyone's interested in Murcialagos, Famous has 4-packs of the box pressed toros on sale for $12.50ea and they're older stock. Use the coupon and you can get (12) for $42, a very good smoke imo, no offense, GFYs
That's a good deal right dur
My bad, (16) cigars for $42. (4) 4-packs gets you over $50
So what coupon code (catsrule still?) are you using and does this have FS?

Actually a very good deal on the mash for the Cabaiguan Guapos RX, excellent smoke and you can get (20) for just under $100 with catsrule.

I think BS Steve was looking for a deal on those

Indeed. Think I'll get a couple 5ers... not sure if there is much difference between the guapo and the non, but I'm willing to give it a go.

Morning, Scott

Sun-grown vs. shade-grown.  Guapos definitely has the sun-grown characteristics.  Pepper, spice.  It's a good cigar just different than the regular.

If anyone's interested in Murcialagos, Famous has 4-packs of the box pressed toros on sale for $12.50ea and they're older stock. Use the coupon and you can get (12) for $42, a very good smoke imo, no offense, GFYs
Also at Atlantic, bundles (20) of robusto rounds for 59.95. ...also churchills for $67.00
$54.75 for (20) Toros @ Famous - Suck it Griffith!!
12.50/4 pack x 5 = 62.50......or are you using fishmath?
And then 17% off with catsrule code
And what about the VIP fee to get a discount at Atlantic - where do you put that into play?
This is without VIP discount (not available on some sale items)....besides that has been paid for already so free and clear from here on.

I think the first one I had came in a Tat 6pk sampler, and it was the non. I liked it a lot. They seem to be a bit higher priced as well... although, that is oversimplifying. I'd still be willing to try a couple of the Guapos, since they are relatively higher priced and the entire Cabaiguan line seems like a rarity on specials such as the mash. 10/49.76

Thanks for the input, Ogie

Morning, all.

Beer recap... in the past four days or so I've had an Epic Brewing "Fermentation without Representation" Imperial Pumpkin porter.  Wasn't very pumpkiny.  Victory at Sea on draft at the brewery and it was far and away the best it's ever tasted.  Grapefruit Sculpin at the brewery, also amazing. Calico Amber Ale with Peanuts and Cocoa Nibs, also at the brewery,  and it wasn't the "Ballast Point Peanut Butter" I was hoping for.  No real peanut OR chocolate taste.  Finally, a Coronado Brewing "Punk'in Drublic... another pumpkin beer.  This is the best locally available pumpkin beer, IMO.  Similar to Pumking, just not quite as over the top.

Figured I'd get that out of the way.

Hey there, Shaun. Also smoked some cigars, maybe I should've started there and eased everyone in to the beer talk.  Have had a bunch lately but the one that kinda stands out is the Room 101 Serie HN.  Really tasty, seems like it kinda flies under the radar among everything else in the brand.

I was just talking with Andy and Mike the other day as Mike was smoking the Big Delish and we all concluded we have very limited Room 101 experience- just a brand I never really look to for cigars...but I have never been disappointed with their cigars...

Like it matters around these parts. Subjects ebb and flow. Only had a few Room 101 offerings. MCII, Namakubi, Daruma gold... Liked them all quite a bit. Been wanting to try the HN and the Payback. Haven't had any of the area code models either.

Not that I'm a big pumpkin fan, but the Heavy Seas - The GreatER Pumpkin was rather good. Not as overpowering in the flavor dept as the PumKing... which, I think I'd like the PumKing more if it wasn't for the clove. Not a flavor I particularly care for.

Good mornin Joe!

I generally enjoy them, some not so much. Namakubi at the top of the food chain, followed by Master Collection 1 & 2 (1 getting hard to find). San Andres, HN and Daruma Gold all interesting smokes, followed by the Conjura then Big Payback.  Only one I don't like is the Daruma.  Papi Chulo is an interesting vitola for all (4x42)  otherwise there are some fairly quirky vitolas for others.

Like it matters around these parts. Subjects ebb and flow. Only had a few Room 101 offerings. MCII, Namakubi, Daruma gold... Liked them all quite a bit. Been wanting to try the HN and the Payback. Haven't had any of the area code models either.
Area codes are just size connotations for San Andres, HN, Conjura lines...before he started using really bizarre names for the vitolas...

Belching Beaver just put out a pumpkin spice milk stout, I'll have to try that one.  ABV is a bit too low with their offerings for my liking but their PB stout had a nice flavor profile.

Odd that this is the only listing, but it seems folks are still using a org. 2010 posting for their ratings. Label is nothing like this anymore.

I like the Untappd App a little more for quick reviews since stuff is usually broken down by year/batch if applicable.  But as with cigars and whiskey, I've started to ignore most ratings.  If something sounds interesting I'll try it, so I can avoid any preconceived notions about a beer (or whiskey, or cigar).  Too many times I'm disappointed by something that is supposed to be the best ever, and just as often I really like something that ratings only indicate is an average beer.

I figured you may find some interest since it is a bourbon barrel aged...

Bourbon barrel beers are something that I feel like I'm supposed to really like, but usually I just don't.  The barrel influence is too strong, feels like I'm licking the inside of a whiskey barrel.  Not sure why I don't like it in beer considering how much I love whiskey.  If it's an ale in a bourbon barrel it's OK because the beer itself won't be too sweet, but if it's a stout... gotta drink it sparingly.  I've found a few that have minimal barrel influence, which is nice.  Actually had a bourbon barrel cider over the weekend, too.  Wasn't very bourbon-y at all.  I really don't even like ciders but the wife does.

Figured I'd get that out of the way.
Good mornin Joe!

I generally enjoy them, some not so much. Namakubi at the top of the food chain, followed by Master Collection 1 & 2 (1 getting hard to find). I'm a big Namakubi fan also but it pisses me off you can never get a deal on them. The MCI and MCII's I've had were excellent, the star was the MCII Papi Chulo, they do that size very well across the board

We're just spoiled out here with selections in bottle shops.  I really don't care if there are 10-20 pumpkin beers available because there are still 300 others on the shelves.
Yeah we still have great selections with a few exceptions but I guess I'm more referring to the stuff on tap for growlers

Not any more bitches!
Just spent 2-1/2 hours looking at jobs with my door vendor, I need a drink myself

Having them 'square' costs extra. Otherwise, anyone like Shaun could build and assemble.  ;)
Even square doesn't dictate that CG won't struggle  ;D. I'd say something nice but it's Tuesday and I'm tired of seeing him get blown for watching MWeber build that stupid pine coffin
Aww fuck everyone.
Don't be upset, I'm flying Joe Wacky out to NJ to do my taxes next year  ;D

Oddly, none of the breweries have had their pumpkin beers available for growlers here.  Stone and BP don't really do any.  I've never been out to the Coronado brewery.  Seems like most pumpkin beers come from outside of San Diego.

Finally there may be hope for survival!

'NO NEW EBOLA IN 5 DAYS'...

Family works at a hospital in Austin, they have a final test to run on someone today so we may not make it 6 days.

Ocala, Florida — Ocala Post has received dozens of e-mails asking about a case of Ebola in Ocala.
The news report floating around social media, which claims Ebola has been confirmed in Ocala, is a hoax.
One of the posts revealed it was a prank when the link within the post was clicked on, while another circulating does not.
Authorities said there have not been any cases of Ebola in Ocala.
Health officials also said Ebola is not a joking matter.
Authorities said instilling fear by creating fake news alerts and social media posts — regardless if it was meant as a prank — will not be tolerated.
Authorities said no charges have been filed at this time, but they are monitoring the situation closely.

Quiet day here...

But he picked it all out... like he was ordering at a fuckin IKEA.  ;D
No Christmas gift fo u!

Don't worry about me, Shaun. It's your Warden you have to worry about now. That big fancy box with all the picture windows is going to make it easier for her to question every new purchase... "what's this box? This wasn't here before. When did you buy this? How much are you spending on this stuff?"  lol.
Yeah that has the potential to be bad - she saw it stocked up and didn't say anything, so I am thinking I am in the clear.  She does really like it tho and she thinks it looks nice...surprised she didn't blow a gasket when she saw it to be honest.

I'm sure she likes it. It's like a big jewelry box at the mall. That's why she WILL look and take mental inventory. It's like moths to a flame. That may not be ALL women though.  ::)
If she hasn't said anything about me having two 60qt tupperdors full of cigars, she won't figure this one out.  She is straight-forward enough, trust me, she says what's on her mind :)
I believe that and everytime you fuk up it will be on her mind.

Well boys, unfortunately my time is up here. See (most of) you tomorrow - Balls on Chin!

Anyone hear of this? At the place I got the growler last week

Clown Shoes Genghis Pecan Pie Porter

Also never heard of that particular beer, just the brewery.  Try some and report back.

He probably has a week or two grace period for following her orders revealing himself at the party.

You better lay off that late night "dessert" is what you better do!  ;) That sort of pie will do a lot more than make you fat. ;D

Took my old wrinkled ass to the dermatologist today and as usual after that annual skin cancer check I look like I have been in a damn car wreck.  In your teens you go to the dermatologist foe acne so they can make you pretty and when you hit about 55 you go to get all the sun spots burnt and cut so you look like chit.  Go Figure!

Warden has had a couple basal cells removed in the past. Now, every time she gets a mark, she's like 'look as this... look at this. What do you think?' A little more hypochondriac than she ever was.

I agree. I like em, but anything that's consistently @$8-10 isn't going to be a go-to for my budget. Picked up a couple 5ers off the mash today. I have a few left from the TAT samplers I picked up before they finally sold out. 2ea of the Cabaiguan, LaRiqueza and ElTrunfidor.

Yeah it can be scary but it is what it is so just get it checked about once a year.  In my younger years living in the south I kept extremely dark tans from May - September so I give them plenty of targets.

It seems a man, wanting to rob a downtown Bank of America, walked into the branch and wrote, "This iz a stikkup. Put all your muny in this bag." While standing in line, waiting to give his note to the teller, he began to worry that someone had seen him write the note and might call the police before he reached the teller window. So he left the Bank of America and crossed the street to Wells Fargo. After waiting a few minutes in line, he handed his note to the Wells Fargo teller. She read it and, surmising from his spelling errors that he was not the brightest light in the harbour, told him that she could not accept his stick up note because it was written on a Bank of America deposit slip and that he would either have to fill out a Wells Fargo deposit slip or go back to Bank of America. Looking somewhat defeated, the man said "OK" and left. The Wells Fargo teller then called the police who arrested the man a few minutes later, as he was waiting in line back at Bank of America.

45-year-old Amy Brasher was arrested in San Antonio, Texas after a mechanic reported to police that 18 packages of marijuana were packed in the engine compartment of the car which she had brought to the mechanic for an oil change. According to police, Brasher later said that she didn't realize that the mechanic would have to raise the hood to change the oil.

David Posman, 33, was arrested recently in Providence, R.I., after allegedly knocking out an armored car driver and stealing the closest four bags of money. It turned out they contained $800 in PENNIES, weighed 30 pounds each, and slowed him to a
stagger during his getaway so that police officers easily jumped him from behind.

Drug possession defendant Christopher Jansen, on trial in March in Pontiac, Michigan, said he had been searched without a warrant. The prosecutor said the officer didn't need a warrant because a "bulge" in Christopher's jacket could have been a gun. Nonsense, said Christopher, who happened to be wearing the same jacket that day in court. He handed it over so the judge could see it. The judge discovered a packet of cocaine in the pocket and laughed so hard he required a five- minute recess to compose himself.

Clever drug traffickers used a propane tanker truck entering El Paso from Mexico. They rigged it so propane gas would be released from all of its valves while the truck concealed 6,240 pounds of marijuana. They were clever, but not bright. They misspelled the name of the gas company on the side of the truck.

Oklahoma City: Dennis Newton was on trial for the armed robbery of a convenience store in a district court this week when he fired his lawyer. Assistant district attorney Larry Jones said Newton, 47, was doing a fair job of defending himself until the store manager testified that Newton was the robber. Newton jumped up, accused the woman of lying and then said, "I should of blown your fucking head off." The defendant paused, then quickly added, " - if I'd been the one that was there." The jury took 20 minutes to convict Newton and recommended a 30 year sentence.

R.C. Gaitlin, 21, walked up to two patrol officers who were showing their squad car computer equipment to children in a Detroit neighborhood. When he asked how the system worked, the officer's asked him for a piece of identification. Gaitlin gave them his driver's license, they entered it into the computer, and moments later they arrested Gaitlin because information on the screen showed Gaitlin was wanted for a two-year-old armed robbery in St. Louis, Missouri.

New York: As a female shopper exited a convenience store, a man grabbed her purse and ran. The clerk called 911 immediately and the woman was able to give them a detailed description of the snatcher. Within minutes, the police had apprehended the
snatcher. They put him in the car and drove back to the store. The thief was then taken out of the car and told to stand there for a positive ID. To which he replied, "Yes Officer..that's her. That's the lady I stole the purse from."

1st Person: "Do you know anything about this fax-machine?" 2nd Person: "A little. What's wrong?" 1st Person: "Well, I sent a fax, and the recipient called back to say all she received was a cover-sheet and a blank page. I tried it again, and the same thing happened." 2nd Person: "How did you load the sheet?" 1st Person: "It's a pretty sensitive memo, and I didn't want anyone else to read it by accident, so I folded it so only the recipient would open it and read it."

I recently saw a distraught young lady weeping beside her car. "Do you need some help?" I asked. She replied, "I knew I should have replaced the battery in this remote door unlocker. Now I can't get into my car. Do you think they (pointing to a distant convenience store) would have a battery for this?" "Hmmm, I dunno. Do you have an alarm, too?" I asked. "No, just this remote 'thingy,'" she answered, handing it and the car keys to me. As I took the key and manually unlocked the door, I replied, "Why don't you drive over there and check about the
batteries...it's a long walk."

My friend called his car insurance company to tell them to change his address from Texas to Vermont. The woman who took the call asked where Vermont was. As he tried to explain, she interrupted and said, "Look, I'm not stupid or anything, but what state is it in?"

I was in a car dealership a while ago when a large motor home was towed into the garage. The front of the vehicle was in dire need of repair and the whole thing generally looked like an extra in "Twister." I asked the manager what had happened. He told me that the driver had set the cruise control, then went in back to make a sandwich.

This afternoon is dragging
Well at least only dragging ro about 45 more minutes here

Same here... What cha smokin when ya git home?
No idea, usually just go home and swing the humi door open and dig around till comething calls my name.

Think I'll revisit the Cabaiguan... possibly with an orange shandy...
That sounds damn good.  I like the Cabaiguan, just don't understand tce high price for them.

I remember getting that with a jar purchase, nice little sampler.

You still looking for a way to get that Tat Blk 3pk promo? It's really easy. lol
I would really like some Tat Black Robos...don't wanna buy a box of Tats tho...

I may be a commie for saying this, but baseball bores me.  Too long of a season, day games, ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz.  If it season was under 100 games it would get a lot more love from yours truly.

Police in Wichita, Kansas, arrested a 22-year-old man at an airport hotel after he tried to pass two (counterfeit) $16 bills.

A man in Johannesberg, South Africa, shot his 49-year-old friend in the face, seriously wounding him, while the two practiced shooting beer cans off each other's head.

A company trying to continue its five-year perfect safety record showed its workers a film aimed at encouraging the use of safety goggles on the job.  According to Industrial Machinery News, the film's depiction of gory industrial accidents was so graphic that twenty-five workers suffered minor injuries in their rush to leave the screening room.  Thirteen others fainted, and one man required seven stitches after he cut his head falling off a chair while watching the film.

The Chico, California, City Council enacted a ban on nuclear weapons, setting a $500 fine for anyone detonating one within city limits.

A bus carrying five passengers was hit by a car in St. Louis, but by the time police arrived on the scene, fourteen pedestrians had boarded the bus and had begun to complain of whiplash injuries and back pain.

Swedish business consultant Ulf af Trolle labored 13 years on a book about Swedish economic solutions.  He took the 250-page manuscript to be copied, only to have it reduced to 50,000 strips of paper in seconds when a worker confused the copier with the shredder.

A convict broke out of jail in Washington D.C., then a few days later accompanied his girlfriend to her trial for robbery.  At lunch, he went out for a sandwich.  She needed to see him, and thus had him paged.  Police officers recognized his name and arrested him as he returned to the courthouse in a car he had stolen over the lunch hour.

Police in Radnor, Pennsylvania, interrogated a suspect by placing a metal colander on his head and connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine.  The message "He's lying" was placed in the copier, and police pressed the copy button each time they thought the suspect wasn't telling the truth.  Believing the "lie detector" was working, the suspect confessed.

When two service station attendants in Ionia, Michigan, refused to hand over the cash to an intoxicated robber, the man threatened to call the police.  They still refused, so the robber called the police and was arrested.

A Los Angeles man who later said he was "tired of walking," stole a steamroller and led police on a 5 mph chase until an officer stepped aboard and brought the vehicle to a stop.

A man spoke frantically into the phone, "My wife is pregnant and her contractions are only two minutes apart!"
"Is this her first child?" the doctor asked.
"No, you idiot!" the man shouted, "this is her husband!"

I still got a few LaRiqueza's left from when they had to dump them to get rid of the old fleur-de-lis labels.  Damn good cigars.

Those are one of my favorite's. Can't find may anymore. There is the Cabinet's, but I'm not even sure if they are anything like the others. I'd have to have someone verify.

Lots of smoke, tons of peppery spice, nice tobacco flavors.  Nutty goodness on the retrohale.  Another fine Perdomo.  Looking forward to the Perdomo Double Aged Sun Grown that I recently received from Charlie.
