No, the site isn't closed. It's just that our regulars don't post all that much on the weekends. But don't be shy. If you know of any cigar deals on the various internet sites that are worth talking about, go ahead and post it. Even if it isn't about cigars, go ahead, you've got nothing to lose. In fact, you practically will have the entire site all to yourself. But be warned that if you are somehow able to get our attention, we're a spirited lot.

Anything on fire?

Definitely a fuck up. I wouldn't pay half of that for those sticks.

Ahhh you need a little tobacco pouch and pipe to put in your bag or coat for moments like that.
-
I had a Melanio Maduro earlier. Very good stick when you can catch them below their MSRP

There are plenty of B&Ms around but why buy more when you have tons of stash sitting at home?

I agree with that. And I do make some purchases because of the information I get from the enablers on here. But I wasn't about to buy a new pipe and tobacco at a B&M.

Still too high.
$5 with FS is more than I would pay for 10 of them
That's a good point. I was giving thought to what I'd do if they were gifted to me and decided that I still wouldn't smoke them. Therefore, they could just as well put the price back up to $45.
The term re-gifting would apply ;)
Yes and no. Don't think I would do that to a BotL.
Oh, I would! But of course only by sticking it among some quality smokes.
I guess it would be a fine yardgar. If memory serves, they are constructed really well.

I've been through a couple bundles. The last one I bought sat and sat and I eventually gave them away.
I'd light one up now just to see of they are as I remember. I don't remember them being god-aweful. They probably aren't worse than the Cusano Magnum Coronas I bought for cheap quickies. I've smoked exactly one of those, tho. I've embraced the logic of some others here; my smoking opportunities are rare these days so I burn something I think I'll truly enjoy. I may burn more "yard gars" if the weather was warm and I found myself working in the yard (if I had a yard). I've actually begun to think that the "yard gar" concept is just a trick from the marketers to convince people buying crappy cigars is justified, though.
Anyhow. In thr $2.50 range there are probably better choices to be had, with the various discounts.

Speaking of cheap cigars... Revisited the Cusano magnum Coronas just now while changing wife's oil (get your minds out of the gutter). :)
Smoothed out a bit over the last couple weeks in the humi. Also not God awefule, but not much going on there either. Upside is the aroma isn't too strong or offensive, for the neighbors etc.
-
Probably go in a gift bag to the father in law... he'll be happy.
-
Who am I kidding. The Cusano are not good. Lol.

I've had a decent Cusano or two but not something I would repurchase. I've received the majority of my Cusanos from Cigarfest handouts. The Cusano 18 Paired Maduro was the best of the lot but I don't see them as available any longer.
Edit: Cusano was bought by CI or their mother company so maybe it's just a rebrand. Seems they are still available. Like I said earlier, I'm not interested anyway.

Now you are thinking like a serious cigar smoker ;D

Afternoon, TR. I'm not up on all the details. Are you moved yet? Did you get a new place?

The place will be so nice when you're done with all the upgrades you won't want to move.

Not moving unti August-September timeframe, just getting the house all ready to put on the market and at the same time doing some serious junk thinning. We have some folks from out your way ( Lafayette, CA) interested in the house before we put it on the market so rushing to get it ready for them to see,

As long as that f'n swimming pool is in the yard there is no chance of that occurring.

Pretty Crazy! Final round of the PGA Tournament is underway and 2 of his fellow high school golfers now touring pros are in 1st and 2nd place playing together.

I too am tired of f'n with our swimming pool. Between the new pump and Polaris another $1K hit to the wallet. Hopefully that will do it until we sell the place.

Nope, I don't drink anymore, just a random picture I found somewhere.

Turns out I don't drink anymore either. Not because I don't want to but because I'm "trying" to be good. In any case, good luck with that.
