No Punch Churchills on hand here.  Alas.  But in my search I did uncover a ~3 year old Mi Barrio Churchill.  I think I'll smoke that.

Despite the age, there is still ample pepper up front, nice sharp flavor.  Almost a leathery/earthy corojo twang to it.  But then it also has some sweeter, almost creamy flavors.  Sweet nuts, some dried fruit, cedar accents, rich creamy coffee finish.

Wonder how it'll go from here.  Good first inch or so.

Took the Punch down to 1/2" on the nubber.  Now, what to fire up next.  Maybe an EE.

General spiciness ticking up, overall less creamy/sweet.  Not sharp or overwhelming, but surprising, given its age.  I would have figured the MB, which was never super spicy to begin with, would have mellowed a bit more by now.

Medium plus, give or take.  Very peppery retro.

So...funny to you, not so much for me story. After dinner, promised to go with the family on a walk with Boomer. After just arriving home, warden unhooks his retractable leash that I'm holding and lets it go. Buckle hits me square in the balls!!! Fuck that hurts!!! Dylan laughing his ass off...Dad in pain and Lynn apologizing a lot. I'll be talking like a little school girl for a bit!!! Now...finally...a cigar.

Ha, yeah, $10 says it spends as much time cutting through wood as dirt.
