Regardless of all that, the EH is a pretty nice smoke.  I thought it was best in the taper, so I would like to try a straight 5x42 for science purposes.-----Will-----"for science purposes".  What a great line!  Do you use that as a pick-up line too?  I have to remember that one.

Believe it or not, that line isn't a panty dropper.  Alas.

San Lotano Maduro Lancero.  Down quite some time and I have no idea where I got it from.  Maybe Brad.

As one would expect from a Maduro lancero, this cigar is pretty maduro tasting.

San Lotano Maduro Lancero.  Down quite some time and I have no idea where I got it from.  Maybe Brad.

As one would expect from a Maduro lancero, this cigar is pretty maduro tasting.

And by that, I mean it's actually far, far better than I remember.  I had some SL Maduro toros back when the line launched and didn't think much of them.  Wasn't nearly as good as the Mi Amor or Murcielago as far as Mexican Maduros went and didn't stand out unlike the Hababo or Connie.

But this Lancero with the extra age?  Big, bold Mexican Maduro flavor.  Chewy earth, strong cocoa, nuts, nice amount of pepper, cedar accents.  Heavy flavor.  Not exactly complex or showing much change, but very strong, focused flavors.  And as a change of pace from the other Mexican maduros in rotation, it works.
