Here's what I smoked last evening...

- Arturo Fuente Hemingway Signature (Perfecto) (6.0"x47)
- CAO Flathead Steel Horse Handbrake (Corona) (4.5"x50)

Just in case you're keeping score at home.
I'm voting for the Hemingway....

Water has finally started very slowly receding here, final level here was 2.6 feet above the all time high.
That's nuts. Glad the worst is over.

Good morning, Dave.
Morning Mayor, was Jamie’s as good last night as I was imagining it to be?
It really was. I wound up smoking 2 cigars, with two glasses of Basil Hayden. Started with lobster cocktail and then softshell crab as my main dish. Excellent!
Did you hear that in California they are going to give the lobsters medical marijuana before they drop them into the pot...  I guess they figure if you give a lobster a doobie, it won't notice that it's being dropped into boiling water...  go figure...
No I hadn't heard it but I'm not surprised either.

good morning Dad and Dave.
yep, just another Monday. I love Mondays.
Good morning, Dean. One of these days I'm gonna splain the calendar to ya.
I use a calendar for appointments, don't even own a watch anymore.
good morning Tony.
Who needs a watch? We've got cell phones with the time on it.
About 10 years before I quit working, my old watch stopped working.  I thought, "Well, if anyone stops me and asks why I'm late coming into work or back from break, I'd just say my watch is broke, and I didn't realize the time."  In the whole 10 years, no one every asked me why I was late..  So I never wore a watch since.  And, I only had one person ask me in the 10 years, "What time is it..?"  I guess I didn't really need a watch..

I wear a watch when I go out (got a very fine one for retirement gift to myself) but at home we don’t even have a clock other than on the microwave and cable boxes, none of which have a frik’n alarm on them!

Time is somewhat relevant to me because I keep up with the tides and what the best fishing times are.

What’s a calendar?
I just did flip my calendar from Aug. to Sept.  I'm glad I did, because all of that stupid re-enrolling into Medicare starts shortly.  Now I have to read all of those stupid insurance plans to see if my doctor is still in my same plan (which I already know he isn't..)  My wife isn't in Medicare, but will be eligible in January.  So I will have to sign her up in one plan for now, then change everything as soon as she gets her medicare card for April....  ugh..!
I changed already.

Thanks...  Do you have to pay more than what medicare already deducts ($120 I think)...?  It looks like a nice plan.

+1 and I add that you could have done better with the 2nd choice. IMFO I don’t think any CAO (other than the Amazon line) stands tall at Jamie’s.

That's a great reason to be cognizant of time.

Have you tried the Steel Horse? It's very different from the regular Flathead. I think I like it better than the Amazon Basin. And both are go-to smokes for me.

Yes and not a bad smoke at all but just no style points and Jamie’s deserves style.  Need something more boutique, something more highbrow.😀

Maybe you could place a sundial next to your tides, and be a little more precise.   :)

Understood and can't disagree with that.  The first smoke I bought at Jamie's because I didn't have time to rummage through the home humidors in the morning. I had two of the CAOs in my work humi so I grabbed them before I left the office. My buddy John wound up not partaking in a second cigar.

Bottom line was that I was not disappointed by either cigar.
