it's a face book message a kid wrote saying when he kisses his mom he wonders how many dicks she's had in her mother.  She intercepted it and wrote,  if I swallowed you 17 years ago I wouldn't be reading this.

I have nothing against it. It was not designed for the way it is used, with all of your info out there. Kinda like the reality shows, and the pop culture dumbing down of all type of entertainment, or art. Make it accessible to the masses, and it will be dominated my stupid people. Because that is a very large demographic. Zucherberg did not know this would happen. But, he has no problem with the millions of gossipy idiots, and wann-a-be famous people, and he is laughing all the way to the banks he owns!

Phobia
-------------------------

A man went to a psychiatrist for his phobia.

"Doc," he said, "I've got trouble. Every time I get into
bed, I think  there's somebody under it. I get under the
bed, I think there's somebody on  top of it. Top, under,
top, under. You gotta help me, I'm going crazy!"

"Just put yourself in my hands for two years," said the
shrink, "Come to me  three times a week, and I'll cure your
fears."

"How much do you charge?"

"A hundred dollars per visit."

"I'll sleep on it," said the man.

Six months later the doctor met the man on the street.

"Why didn't you ever come to see me again?" asked the
psychiatrist.

"For a hundred buck's a visit? A bartender cured me for ten
dollars."

"Is that so! How?"

"He told me to cut the legs off the bed!"

Time for work, happy B day CG87
Don't think gold star has sauntered in yet.
Morning Dave and Dave! Thanks Oy!
Morning, non-founding yellow star. Happy birthday!
Thanks Dave.  Painting looked good this weekend!
Thanks, sure am glad it's over. Only got to put the front light back on, as well as the address numbers. Hope the publishers clearing house people don't show up while I'm at work, I'll miss out on my millions.
That would only be fitting...just think of all the cigars that could buy!
No doubt, a box of Buesos for everyone!

Chopped liver as an expression from Wikipedia:

Since eating chopped liver may not be appreciated by everyone, the Jewish English expression "What am I, chopped liver?", signifies frustration or anger at being ignored on a social level.

An alternative explanation for the etymology of the "What am I, chopped liver?" expression is that chopped liver was traditionally served as a side dish rather than a main course. The phrase, therefore may have originally meant to express a feeling of being overlooked, as a "side dish."[

Just a pain doing all the scraping and painting for 2 straight days, being back at work is almost a vacation. And getting up to the very top of that ladder to get the peak of the split level, that made me clench the cheeks a bit tighter, that's for sure. Haha.

Heights never bothered me, but widths, they are downright scary.  my ex-wife got to be a size 24, I didn't think of it as a divorce, more like losing 238lbs of uneeded fat.

Heights never bothered me, but widths, they are downright scary.  my ex-wife got to be a size 24, I didn't think of it as a divorce, more like losing 238lbs of uneeded fat.
So you're saying I should have left her 30 pounds ago?

Good morning, gents.  Happy birthday, Shaun.  Hope you had a great day yesterday, Pat.  GFY, Scott.
Think that about covers it. Morning, Tony.
I was gonna put something in there about the Daves and then I thought, how about Tom and Chip?  Then I figured "gents" covered it all.  Speaking of covering it, how'd the painting go?
What am I? Chopped Liver?
What do you mean?
Chopped liver as an expression from Wikipedia:

Since eating chopped liver may not be appreciated by everyone, the Jewish English expression "What am I, chopped liver?", signifies frustration or anger at being ignored on a social level.

An alternative explanation for the etymology of the "What am I, chopped liver?" expression is that chopped liver was traditionally served as a side dish rather than a main course. The phrase, therefore may have originally meant to express a feeling of being overlooked, as a "side dish."
I still don't get how it applies here, Tom.
Tony, my mistake for not reading your post correctly (most likely) or it was nice use of the modify button.
LMAO.  I'm just fucking with you, Tom.  I had to go back and modify all the posts, including yours and LTG's.
Tony, nicely done.
But you should know that being ignored is nothing new to me - I am married and have kids.
I second that emotion! Good morning Copped liver, and everyone else!  :D
What's copped liver?  Do you mean you stole it?

As well as can be expected, I guess. Good weather, nothing broke, no one got hurt and it's done.
Wow.  That good huh?

actually, I would have stayed married (had 2 kids). She just had a nervous breakdown, and decided she didn't want to be married anymore. that was over 26 years ago.  my oldest kids are 32 and 30.

Then rename it as another CI special line, don't call them overruns or seconds...they are regular cigars made out of leftover and secondary tobacco.  Don't let any of it go to waste.

So explain this to me....how can you discontinue overruns?  Overruns are mistakes, extra at the end of a process, unplanned....
They found a way to sell them for more money ! .
AKA: New AJ Cigar to debut at ICPCR!
Hey CG made it to 5 stars.... now when will he turn green?
I wanna be gold forever!
GFY~!!

I wonder how many people will hit the 1 day deal to get such a fabulous deal. 10/45.00 plus shipping, seriously?
Alec Bradley American Classic and Sun Grown
Free $20 CI Gift Card with each 10-Pack

Alec Bradley. This small-batch, boutique brand has garnered the industry's highest ratings as of late. '96,' a couple '94s,' some '93s' and plenty of 90+ scores. Today only, we open a veritable can of you-know-what on Alec Bradley's latest top-sellers, and new dollar-for-dollar kings, American Classic and Sun Grown.  For the next 24-hours, I’m serving up Alec Bradley’s hottest new brand for the very minimum price allowed. But at camp CI, doing the minimum’s like doing nothing at all. So while I can’t break the rules, I can bend the hell out of them.

Here’s where it gets really juicy: with each 10-pack purchased, I’ll toss in a $20 CI Gift Card for nothing. And considering 10-packs start at just $44.55, that’s like paying less than $25. Insanity.

American Classic employs a golden-brown Connecticut wrapper leaf from Honduras overtop a rich, well-aged blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers to deliver a flavorful, but very well-balanced smoke.  A rich core of tobacco is complemented by sweet notes, nuts, and a touch of coffee, while the finish is long, woodsy, and soothing on the palate. Medium bodied.

American Sun Grown is a Nicaraguan puro crafted with a beautiful Nicaraguan sun-grown Habano wrapper. A hearty, rich, and spicy blend, the AB American Sun Grown is complex yet smooth, and dishes out notes of black pepper, cedar, and nuts with a slight sweetness occasionally entering the fray. Medium to full-bodied.

Today, Alec Bradley’s new star becomes a whole lot more appealing thanks to my FREE $20 CI Gift Card deal, leaving you with tasty, premium AB handmades at a price that’s like paying less than $2.50 per cigar. That’s nutty.

$150-12 cigars(2-4 of which will never see production and 3-6 old releases Rdux'd-in 2013 the Frank and Pork Tenderloin, each going for $40+ alone), Tshirt, Dominoes Set, 2 Pint Glasses, Lighter, Bottle Opener, Membership Coin, another handful of cigars with welcome package, etc.  Nice perk, if you are a Tat guy, many of the members are shop owners, so they cut good pricing, ex: Pudgys for $87.50 shipped for S&S members right now, lot of the members get dress boxes and they sell them to members...but all that takes $$ to take advantage of.

But I agree, Tat markets with the best of em, not for everyone that's for sure.

get a belated Fathers day gift, from my 32 year old, her husband and daughter on Saturday (don't be critical, I brought easter baskets, and my other grandaughter's birthday gift!) they live about 50 miles away, and our schedules don't mesh well. I finally got there, cause I said come hell or high water i was going saturday night, with her half sister.  Warden/Stepmom had an evening mapped out with getting her hair done, and then doing her friend the hairdressers hair, and there was a cat adoption in there as well.  Anyway, i got three cigars: a Cohiba black dot corona, a Gloria Cubana Series R toro and an Ashton VSG toro. Nothing i had ever tried, all three new to me in that size/vitola.

Afternoon, all. Happy Moanday.
Hi Steve.  How did the weekend treat ya?

Pretty good, Tony. Warden went to NC to gamble with her sister and left me home to myself.
Wish I could get mine to leave me alone for the weekend, a week, a month or a decade.
Kinda wish I had seen Deano's post before posting that.  Sorry if it seemed insensitive.

Had to read the fine print a couple of times to get it straight, first thought it said Warden had to do the hairdresser - then finally figured it out.  Those are nice smokes they picked out for you.  They certainly have significantly different profiles Serie R is very bold for sure.  And Happy Birthday CG!!

yeah the warden and Celia are both hairdressers and teach cosmetology.  Celia came by to adopt the cat, too.  I just wasn't going to wait any longer, besides my older daughter was home, wasn't at the store where she is assistant manager.  Very rarely is she home on a Saturday.

I'm sorry for all of the problems that has brought you to this, but the thought of being able to just pick up, take off, and start all over again, sort of sounds appealing.  Besides, if you save up and buy a row boat, you could paddle around the Gulf to JR's for a cigar herf..!

Yeah, and I'm getting workaferenced, and dealing with Harley-related purchases, so no comments to offer about cigars today.

Happy Birthday CG.
Add me to the Happy Birthday wishes too..!
Thanks BD! We are a few pages light without Joe here :)
Yeah, and I'm getting workaferenced, and dealing with Harley-related purchases, so no comments to offer about cigars today.

I did finally check out that 10-pack "sale" at Famous-Smoke.com.  That was a joke.  A very bad joke.  The prices were insulting.
Oh good, it wasn't just me.

Anybody refinish a deck recently? Just finished the 2nd coat of Behr DeckOver on a 20 by 25 foot deck. took 5 gallons, they recommended 7. deck over 15 years old, have been using cabot stain on it through the years.  the deck over shows dirty footprints, they don't seem to wash off.

God I'm tired....  I went grocery shopping, and got some Chi Chi 1.75 bottle of  pre-made Margarita's for $8.99, along with a Chi Chi 1.75 Orange Cream with vodka.  I think it's a cheap brand, but it looked like a good deal.  I know the Margarita isn't bad for the price.

I was thinking of using Deckover, but I read the reviews and they all said it sucks, don't do it. So I went with the regular deck stain

I saw it on Mythbusters.  They painted 1/2 of the car with bed liner and ran it into concrete barricade and 6 mph.  The 1/2 with the bed liner wasn't damaged but the other 1/2 was.

Unfortunately, read the reviews after the first coat was on.  Was planning on using the rustoleum (would have goon with Cabot again), but Home depot stopped carrying it, and the local paint store is now a "School of Rock".  of course 2 days after the first coat, my 16 year old decides to repot plants on the deck.  never a problem with the stain. but this is a textured surface treatment.  Designed to get rid of splinters, but side effect of trapping dirt really well in the new surface.

didn't try that yet, wanted to let it cure really good, this stuff is four times thicker than paint/stain, and we have had a lot of rain.

Even with the ~15 months rest here, the MF CD CG has ample pepper and spice up front.  Rich cedar aroma and spice, too, as to be expected.     Not crazy or anything, but I'd call it sharper than the DPG Blue toro I had the other day that was relatively fresh.

That's a bad deal.
indeed, she is 62 and worked for about 5 years in her entire life. Two kids by 18, my father got her a home and car, later moved her into a condo, the got my mother to buy her a 6 acre farm in NC and she got my dad's car and my step dad's truck when they passed. She has been living off my mothers SS check for the last 7 years and off my father before that. She called me concerned that my 85 year old mother should not be driving, as she got into a 2nd accident. I agreed and called my mother to tell her our worries. My mother then tells me she is making arrangements to give her car to my sisters grand daughter. I feel like I played again, what about my daughter, she needs a car......just cuz i am blessed to have a good job and work hard don't entitle deadbeats to everything. God bless them all.

Both the corona and the lonsdale are excellent.  JR DDA seems to be the best deal on them when they show up.  I've still got a box and half, give or take, but would gladly stock up on some more.  Outside of the Cedros, I like Lancero (of course) and the "Cremas," which is a toro but with the 109 style cap.

i love my family, when your enabled, you don't see it.   I just don't like feeling resentful or envious, it's not good for me.

109 style cap..... I learned something new today.

Indeed.  Not a lot of cigars use that style cap.  On the few cigars I've had it though, it's nice.

Feeling bad, had a blow up with my sister..... >:(
That's a bad deal.
indeed, she is 62 and worked for about 5 years in her entire life.

I hear what you are saying , I love my family too , but some times they do make  me feel bad , so I don't need the drama ..

Getting a poor burn with this Bijou.  Which is expected, because the Bijou has had far and away the most burn problems I've ever had with a Pepin.  I've burned maybe 20 of them and only had a handful not need touch ups.

I decided to try some cheep whiskey, "Ezra Brooks."  Sour Mash (which I like), not bad, sort of mellow. But now that I'm looking at my receipt it said Ezra Brooks 90 which I thought was 90 proof, but the bottle says 40% alc/vol, which would make it 80 proof, right..?  Oh well, $9.50... :)

This Le Bijou was pretty good.  Once it got into the second half the burn problems went away.  Jinxing myself, of course, since I'm not done yet.  I definitely prefer the natural wrapper, though.

ALCOHOLICS ARE RESENTMENT-PRONE.
Most alcoholics have a deep—almost pathological—sense of justice. If we are wronged (meaning often that we did not get what we wanted), or we even conjure up the notion that we might have been wronged, we find full justification to express anger or harbor resentment. It then seems almost a duty to carry a justified resentment. Otherwise, those who have wronged us would get off scot-free. And that wouldn't be right, would it? So, we waste our God-given lives judging and punishing our fellows. Relinquishing a justified resentment is one of the most difficult experiences known to the alcoholic.....alcohol is not my drug of choice but I have the mind of an addict. That's why I need to let go and do gods will not mine. I only hurt myself by holding on to resentment.

The Le Bijou.  Habano oscuro, I guess is the official classification.  I just meant I prefer the My Father to the MF Le Bijou. And by a large margin.

I'm interested in it, like any new release from Pepin.

I wasn't a big FdlA fan.  Good enough cigar, so-so burn, a bit loosely packed/more open draw than the core lines.  But more of a $3 type smoke, imo, and it is priced more along the lines of the My Fathers and such.  So if its an FdlA with a new wrapper, that might not work so well.
