Have to go out after work to get the kids bathing suits. Going up to Niagara next week for a couple of days, and the kids will want to take advantage of the hotel pool. Last time they got bathing suits was two years ago, so they've outgrown them.

Also, the wife is taking the oldest today to get the metal work removed. Assuming they don't come up with some dumbass reason not to remove them, which I'm absolutely expecting.

How come the car manufacturer can't offer lifetime warranty on breaks (including pads) but Pep Boys can?? 33,000 miles and it cost me $825 for rear rotors, pads, and an oil change.

It's not that they can't, it's that they won't. Look for a video by Elon Musk about why it's so hard to start a new auto manufacturing company. Manufacturers make most of their money selling parts to service their existing fleet. The cars themselves have very little margin. Pep Boys makes their money servicing most existing fleets, so they can be more flexible.

And don't get me started on Minis. I wanted one, until my son got one. He does all his own work on his, because he's amazingly smart and clever. But even he says, "Just say no to Minis, unless you're leasing and trading it in every other year."

I had one previously that was leased and I loved it. But my wife wanted to BUY this Countryman and I hate it. My Pacifica minivan has better pickup. She insisted on an automatic transmission and the pickup sucks. I'm always worried when I have to merge.
