Morning Daves, Tony, and HockeyDadFish.  Raining again this morning.  Certain IT guys are getting a long break from work.
As a matter of fact neither one of them are here this morning.

Took 4 days to publish this on the local news guess they had to make sure it was not an important Austin commie.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Fire Department posed a fair question along with incredible photos of a recent crash: What happens when you try to make your limited production $385,000 Ferrari fly?

Several AFD C-shift crews were called to the crash on Friday night, Jan. 13. A witness told firefighters the car was traveling at more than 100 miles per hour as it passed over the bridge on Red Bud Trail headed toward Westlake Drive.

The Ferrari driver missed his first turn — “no surprise there,” AFD said — and drove straight into the woods, going airborne for about 40 feet. The car then flipped over in the air and landed on its side, down a 40-foot ravine.

The three vehicle occupants had only minor injuries. The driver, however, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence.
Sheesh.  Another case of more money than sense.

Yep, I went home that way yesterday (as I do once or twice a week) because Mopac was parked and it is a treacherous route at 45 mph, in fact they have had so many wrecks there they have roughed up the pavement to help with the skidding.

I wonder if his insurance will cover that.

Some good comments on the article but this was definitely the best-of-the-best!  (It really is only a 2-seat car)

Gotta hand it to Ferrari on the safety engineering. The two chicks he was trying to impress that were strapped into the passenger seat survived. Guess it helped that they had 4 implanted cushioning devices installed.

Here is the link if you would like to read them or see other photos.

Three occupants?  I feel sorry for the person squeezed into the back.

Thanks to TXDave's elaboration, it appears the two ladies were strapped into the same seat.
