Late for Work
-------------------------

Tom had this problem of getting up late in the morning and was always late for work.  His boss was mad at him and threatened to fire him if he didn't do something about it.

So Tom went to his doctor who gave him a pill and told him to take it before he went to bed.  Tom slept well and in fact beat the alarm in the morning. He had a leisurely breakfast and  drove cheerfully to work. "Boss", he said, "The pill actually worked!"

"That's all fine" said the boss, "But where were you yesterday?"

Massachusetts Senators Ed Markey and Elizabeth Warren introduced legislation last week, that could have serious ramifications for gun owners in America. The “Handgun Trigger Safety Act” would demand that “anyone selling a handgun must retrofit it with personalization technology before that sale can be completed.”

Infusing a handgun with this “smart” technology would allow the weapon to only be used by the authorized owner. They typically operate with either fingerprinting technology, password recognition, or by being in range of an electronic bracelet or ring. The bill would ban the manufacture of any handgun in the United States that is not “personalized” within 5 years, and would give an additional 5 years time to retrofit any older handguns with the technology before they are sold.

It was only 3 hours and they chopped it up into 3 acts this year.  It was actually entertaining and my youngest daughter improved greatly in the last year.  No incidents this year.

Rain is not a problem for my smoking unless wind is blowing hard but I don't often smoke in the mornings.  I am just being lazy watching TV.

Not that there are usually any casualties at a dance recital but last year my youngest daughter kicked a tap shoe into the audience during her routine.  I still haven't gone back to see if it was captured in the video.

Your area sure has caught up on their water this year pretty quick, 6 months ago or less they were talking about trucking water in because of the shortage.

Morning Chip.  The countryside is nice and green.  Even gave us a resurrected late wildflower season of sorts.  We need more rain NW of the Austin area, though, to fill up the reservoirs.

Today's one of those days that makes me feel old.  The little flower girl in my wedding (barely walking then) is having a high school graduation party.
It only gets worse!
I bet it feels good not going to the airport today. :)
Sure as hell does!
I'm going tomorrow. Any message for the TSA?
Yeah I don't fly that much anymore and tell them I miss them playing with my balls.
They don't do that as much anymore.  They're content with looking at your naked picture and playing with their own balls in the other room.
Takes the fun out of flying! LOL, commercial air travel sux to the max anymore and it is the transportation of last resort for me.
Indeed.  Anything under 6 hrs I'm driving.  One of these days we'll get NJDave to give up his secret to coping with it all.  I know for damn sure it isn't the pretty and pleasant young female flight attendants, 'cause there ain't none!
Plain sullen flight attendants, overpriced booze, crappy food....not much incentive.
