Deals were a plenty in November and December with a few on into January but they certainly slowed down.  The big difference is the retailers are often not so straight forward and you have to be patient and play games with them to get the best deals.  Not always at the old traditional vendors either.  Great deal yesterday on Nica Rusticas, lowest price I have ever seen in them but like so many other good deals anymore you had to buy bigger quantities than we used to.  Also the lowest price ever seen on MB3's is still available at Holts. There were some fabulous box deals on DPG varieties Monday at the Page.

And then there is the simple fact that cigar prices have climbed steadily over the past few years.

Dont let the warden do that chore like I did, she didn't tell the guy the driveway would be to the east side of the house and he drew the plans with it on the west side, had to pay even more for the drastic change.  After 6 months in the house we found so many things we would have liked to have done better.

After you move in that always happens no matter how well, you plan.  As for the driveway, shit happens.

We have not settled on a lot yet so at this time we are just having a conceptual plan done not a construction plan so there will be plenty of opportunities to make changes along the way without penalty.  We just need exterior dimentions, elevations and a non-detailed floor plan to move forward.

I actually have most of the design done by hand myself but if you have never tried it designing stairs in a house is a real trick.  Also modern architecturalCAD programs and people that are efficient using them make exterior elevations and renderings a snap.

Not soon enough, probably 12 months away but with both of us retiring and moving half-way across the continent it takes a lot of planning.

The warden has now stacked the yet-to-be-installed-trim in a corner where I have to walk past it every time I head into the bedroom.  At least that's better than her bitching about it. But I'm sure if it sits there much longer she'll progress to defcon 3.

Sources: Denver Broncos' Ryan Murphy involved in prostitution sting

Last Updated Feb 2, 2016 10:33 PM EST

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Sources told CBS affiliate KPIX Tuesday evening that Denver Broncos rookie safety and onetime Oakland resident Ryan Murphy was questioned by San Jose police during a prostitution sting.

The sting was part of Santa Clara County's multi-agency human trafficking task force. Authorities were targeting an area of north San Jose known for prostitution, KPIX reported.

According to sources, police detained a suspected prostitute in the area of a Motel 6. The woman told task force members that she had to go to a car to retrieve some property.

Murphy was inside the car along with his brother. Sources said Murphy was questioned and released by police. However, his brother and the suspected prostitute were cited.

Being's I'm a broke-ass mofo right now, I just ordered in some inexpensive irons (aluminums). Once I recover from buying the rifle, a box of 1000 .40 slugs, 600 rounds for my trip to Front Sight, and tags for hunting in Montana, I'll begin shopping for a proper sighting device.

Namakubi Papi Chulo 5/$123 on the mash with about 15 minutes left.
Something is wrong with that Tex, 5/$125 sucks.  Good for a box of 50, but not for 5, and I can't check back as the deal has passed.

Morning, muchachos. Tonight is range night. Gotta pick up some ammo at lunchtime. We'll be zeroing the black rifle tonight, which means venturing back onto the range that tried to eat me. Fortunately, I know where the ditch is.
I hope they have a big illuminated warning sign up for you now.
Will not help he does not look where he is going, Ask His Toe!
I look exactly where I'm going. That's why I wasn't looking down at where my toe was going.
Let's not get defensive about our faulty collision avoidance system.
Morning Raz.
Faulty? You mean there's a chance I've actually got one?
Not any more, I was just trying to be polite.

I think Kirby has done pretty well for the short turn time. Got to keep Richt's QB too.

A page late, but CG decided to speak up. I think JerseyDave posted and nodded off.
Yeah, but nobody said "nothin'" so I figured I should take the precaution.

No harm in that! Always good to pump in an extra round... just to make sure.
Well, the rifle will hold thirty, so I got spares...
You can arrange for it to hold many more.

You ever hear of modifying a certain fuel filter to the business end? Saw a pic today. Said it even threaded correctly. I just told him he better not get caught with it.

What up, Shaun. Just got a couple minutes myself. Checkin' my bids while I finally get to eat lunch... yeah, I know it's 4. fml.
Hey Steve - just a clusterfuck here at work with the boss-woman resigning.

This the one you were getting on so well with?
Correct, so now it's a matter of who will replace her or if she will bring any of us with her.  She's starting a new analytics department at the new company, so I know there will eventually be positions available.

Interesting... how long was she there?
I believe 5 or 6 years, she's an Actuary by trade.  Was the Dir of Underwriting and Analytics when she resigned.

You think you made the short list not having been there that long?
There were 3 of us who reported to her, I know I"m above 1 of them and the other is on his way out(ready for retirement)...so by default, maybe ;)

Squirrelly fuk'r Jeb just does not know when to run for the hills!

"I think the next president needs to be a lot quieter but send a signal that we're prepared to act in the national security interest of this country," he added. "To get back in the business of creating a more peaceful world."

After that line, Bush paused, seemingly waiting for the crowd to applaud and cheer him - but they didn't.

"Please clap," Bush had to tell the crowd, sounding defeated.

I don't have feelings one way or the other, but I could make the legal case that if the adapter is registered as a silencer, it meets the requirements of the law. Whether the court would agree, no way to say.

No but will go back and find it
Can't find it
He's talking about the Fram-oil-filter-as-a-suppressor trick.
And yes, it does work, and yes, it's supposedly legal.
If it functions as a suppressor then it is a suppressor regardless of how it is made and it has to be licensed as such.
The adapter is registered as a suppressor.
Believe whatever you want to, don't matter to me because they are mostly worthless IMHO.

Easy, read the code and that is why the word "parts" is in there but go for it and find out.

He should have hired Raz to make his case, would have at least saved a $hitload of money

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A judge refused to throw out the sexual assault case against Bill Cosby on Wednesday, sweeping aside claims that a previous district attorney had granted the comedian immunity from prosecution a decade ago.

Common Pleas Judge Steven O'Neill issued the ruling after a hard-fought two-day hearing.
The case now moves to a preliminary hearing to determine whether there is enough evidence to try the 78-year-old Cosby on charges he drugged and violated former Temple University athletic department employee Andrea Constand at his suburban Philadelphia home in 2004.

The TV star could get up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

Easy, read the code and that is why the word "parts" is in there but go for it and find out.

I did read the code. So here's my case.

1. It is clearly the intent to fabricate a device for suppression of report. So the adapter was duly registered as a suppressing device, and the excise was paid.

2. The oil filter was not solely intended only for use in a silencing device, but since it was used in this case for "fabricating a silencing assembly", it is subject to the law. However, since the filter cannot be deemed to be a silencing device without a means to attach it to a firearm, it is the adapter that is the critical component to silencing the firearm. That the adapter is unable, by itself, to silence the firearm is incidental to the law. Since the filter cannot silence the firearm without the adapter, registering either element as a silencing device ensures compliance, and whichever device is registered provides a legal umbrella to the other, since the assembly can only become a silencing device with both components.

3. The filter, in and of itself, has not been redesigned to be a silencing device. It has been repurposed. But this repurposing cannot be achieved without the adapter. The adaptor, therefore, is the logical locus of regulation, and having been duly registered in compliance to the law, whatever other components are attached to it to achieve it's potential are incidental to the law.

He wouldn't have saved a dime. That case is so hopeless I'd have charged every cent his attorney did. I'm not above making a fool of myself for money, but if I'm gonna do it for a rich and famous guy, he's going to pay accordingly.
