Driver's Permit
-------------------------

A young boy had just gotten his driver's permit and
enquired of his father, if they could discuss his use
of the car. His father said, "I'll make a deal with you.
You bring your grades up from a C to a B average,
study your Bible a little, get your hair cut and we'll
talk about the car."

Well, the boy thought about that for a moment, and
settle for the offer, and they agreed on it. After about
six weeks they went in to the study, where his father
said, "Son, I've been real proud. You've brought your
grades up, and I've observed that you have been
studying your Bible, and participating a lot more in
the Bible study groups. But, I'm real disappointed,
since you haven't gotten your hair cut."

The young man paused a moment, and then said,
"You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that, and I've
noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had
long hair, John the Baptist had long hair, Moses had
long hair and there's even a strong argument that
Jesus had long hair also."

To this his father replied, "Did you also notice they
all walked everywhere they went?"

Ya know, I have a problem. I have more cigars than I know what to do with and hardly smoke during the winter, yet all I do is look to buy more cigars. I had to stop myself last night from bidding on Tat VI Angeles for $67/box, great price then I thought of my humidors and I can't even get to great stuff I have in there...I blame you guys, GFYs!
Shut up and buy the cigars you whiny pussy.
All I want to do when I leave here every day is drink, smoke and bang old Floridians
Sorry, I think Dean is busy.

My wife asked me to not renew my b&m membership this year.  I didn't even know she knew I had that.  Imagine if more little brown boxes start showing up?
Who knows you might have to Man-Up and tell her to get a Fuk'n job and she better have dinner on the table everyday when you get home. ;D
Fine idea!  I can't see anything going wrong with that.

Here we go again, I am teleworking (as I have done for the past 6 years) but got to go to the office later to try and get my electronic computer access card reset (for the 3rd time) and now I get an email that I have failed to complete Teleworking 101 Training and if not done by next Wednesday my teleworking agreement will be revoked.  Holy Fuk'n chit!

Of course it was only one, and relatively fresh from travels, but thought it distinct from the other two.  Started with a sweet floral background with anise, then to a more citrus primary with creaminess in the second third.  Anise returned with some background floral.  Refreshing and fairly unusual.  When the weather gets better, think I need to allot some time to smoke all three at one sitting.

Teleworking 101

1- wake up at 9 am.
2- pour coffee, light cigar, turn on computer.
3- scratch balls.
4- check emails, log on to CigarBanter.com.
5- pour more coffee.
6- is it lunch yet?
7- check humidor.
8- check office memos.
9- light another cigar and pour drink.
10- fuck working.

Mornin gents, TGIF!
Morning Mr. Interview.
Gotta get all ready for #2!
Don't forget to zip up the barn door. Unless you think leaving it unzipped will help your chances.
Ohh, hey Dave!  Yeah, might leave it up this time since it's with a guy, was with a woman yesterday though...
You should not jump to conclusions like that, it is the 21st century and they got all types in ND now days.
Not worth it, I'd take my chances with the position yesterday then :)

It's from Billy Madison, where they put the flaming bag on the old guy's door step, and he yells, "it's poop again!" I use that for a lot of online sites. Just kinda stuck. Like the stuff on the bottom of his shoe.

True. It's an office thing. Folks like to call Friday (Payday)  Beer Day. Thursday is their Near Day. Silly, but I play along... even though I get paid every other week. Which this week is not MY week. Which means TxPlague is probably getting his check today.  ;)

Actually, that was just me not understanding how this bid site works. Once I figured it out, I could've changed it, but like it said, it's a damn dollar. What's the difference? Sheesh!

I think most play that way on this auction site because you can jump in at the last second... unlike the .bid that gives an extra 5 min. to the listing if someone bids with under 2 min. to go...

It's either bid low and follow along, or bid the most you want to pay and plan on paying that unless you get totally outbid. In that case, move on.

12/20 boxes are at/under $59.60. My strategy would be to bid +$1 and watch to see how long it takes the penny bidders to push their bids. Check back with about 30 min to go. I got a box a couple weeks ago for $60 with no problem. There were 30 pcs then though.

Guess I will go to my office and see if they can reset my access card.  110-1 says they can't get it done today.
It's sunny out, so your crackerjack IT guys should be there.  On the other hand it was mid-40's this morning and too chilly for their delicate vajajays, so good luck!
Well you can pay your bet off with cigars.  DuMB worthless  mother Fukr is a,no show today it seems.  Typing on phone excuse the typos.

Mornin gents, TGIF!
Morning Mr. Interview.
Gotta get all ready for #2!
Good idea to have a full evacuation before the interview, I like where your head's at!!
LMAO!  I was contemplating a similar reply and lost internet connection in the tunnel.  I wouldn't have done it justice.

Hey, Antnee. How you doin'?
I'm just great, Steve.  How are you?

Just wondered how the travel last night went... and if your herpes were clearing up.
It wasn't a cold sore, it was a fat lip I tell ya.  I just don't remember getting hit.

Likely stupid question, but GFY's.  If there are 20 boxes on the auction and 20 bidders each bid for one box, does each bidder get a box when it closes, regardless of their particular bid amount?

The 20 highest "bids". Some of those are for multiples. If you were to bid .01 higher than the lowest bid, you would bump a lower bid off the list. If you are on the list at the end... you win.

Correct. Not all winners will necessarily pay the same.

Morning Mr.

Lo9ked more like a vaginal infection of the worst sort to me.
How many vaginal infections have you seen, exactly?
Including this one...One

Haven't seen BD in a while, he in the doghouse again?  Maybe he can't use the computer when he has the collar on...
He's probably handcuffed to the bed frame with a bondage ball in his mouth
False. He's chained to the fridge toaster over, making his wife breakfast at all hours of the day.

[EDIT]
Good correction.

If you are on the list at the end... you win.
I realize some are for multiples, but in my scenario there are only single qty bids. Famous opens the bidding at a minimum $ per item and is willing to sell out at anything above that figure.  OK then.

Correct. Not all winners will necessarily pay the same.
Which is why I said I could adjust mine lower, but didn't feel like messing with it, and will just pay the extra $1 if I win.

Dave, I think you're sitting pretty to get a box ta-day!
Sure looks like it, unless people are just waiting until the last minute to strike. Would be a heck of a deal at that price.
Have you had any of them yet Dave?
I have not.
Wide variety, a lot of really good stuff!

No cigars, sales at PartyLite, just candles and stuff.
Stopped myself at Amazon and Ebay on Vintage blank
audio cassette tapes.   I have to figure out how I wired the
Carter Audio Cassette deck into the Denon 2313C receiver,
it doesn't have tape monitor inputs/outputs.

Kinda glad I missed it.  Enabling bastiges, indeed.  I'm resisting temptation and taking the long view. I've got a bunch of side money coming in the next couple of months, so if I pay off some bills now and put money into some home projects, I'll have more money for cigars in a couple of months and the good graces of the warden.  She was a very, very good girl last night, so I'm feeling magnanimous.

5 minutes left you guys are looking good, I may have to cannonball in!
Threebean hanging on by a thread!
If this holds up I'll have to find some more items on which to bid. Gotta spread out that shipping!
last time I did that, shipping was $17 and change on 26 bids that I won.
On the Famous auction site, or on cbid?
cigarbid... they have the shipping savings policy tab
you can click on and it explains it all.
Shipping Savings Program
Each product contains a unique shipping charge, which is listed in the description of each lot. However, our Shipping Savings Program allows you greater savings when you win more than one item.

Shipping Cost of Additional Units
Instead of paying individual shipping charges for each product, multiple items shipped to the same address won during the same shipping period (either DAILY or WEEKLY), only the greater of the shipping charges apply, plus an amount for each additional item:
Singles Category: $0.25
5-Packs Category: $0.50
Boxes Category: $1.00
Merchandise Category: $1.00
Samplers Category: $1.00
Free Fall Category: $1.00
All Others: $1.00
Some exceptions apply, as in the case of items shipped from 3rd party vendors, oversized, and non-standard packages. Any such exceptions will be indicated in the product and shipping description.

Could Willie Nelson do for pot what Ray Kroc did for hamburgers?

The country singer-songwriter (and well-known consumer of cannabis) has revealed plans to launch a branded chain of marijuana dispensaries and related products, including signature strains of pot. Dubbed “Willie’s Reserve,” the brand is expected to start formulating plans in the next year. Nelson spokesman Michael Bowman told The Daily Beast that the operation is going to “be something that’s reflective of (Nelson’s) passion” for cannabis.

I've got a bunch of side money coming in the next couple of months, so if I pay off some bills now and put money into some home projects, I'll have more money for cigars in a couple of months and the good graces of the warden.  She was a very, very good girl last night, so I'm feeling magnanimous.

Morning Raz.    If you had added some shoot'n equipment in that list of what to do with money I would not have done this to you.
I'll remember to be more detailed.  There is always shooting gear in the budget.

I've already purchased the Maglula, frame plug, holsters, dual mag holder, electronic ear protectors, and 1000 JHP bullets to manufacture ammo for the Glock.  I've set aside money for installation of night sights.  That should do it for IDPA shooting.

I'll be purchasing a Glock 17 end of May, because the .40 is a handful of recoil for the warden and the 9mm is the obvious choice for a bugout handgun so I should have one around. I've got a special account accumulating cash to send the 1911 to Doug Turnbull to have it returned to its stock 1943 form.  That will cost a bunch of money and the gun will only end up worth what I've put into it (on a good day), but it'll become a family heirloom.

Then it will be on to the next weapons...

I don't think you could go wrong following Ogie's suggestions.

Yes, but that's not the site we're on now. Try to keep up, would ya?  8)
Sorry LTG, I wanted to do some work, here today, so I didn't read all 18
pages of posts.  Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa.  I fall on the sword when I am wrong.
I've been wrong before, I got married twice!  ::)
Does that make you wrong, or stupid?
Yes

Not a bad deal on the Mash and no bidding needed.

Flor De Las Antillas Robusto 5 Pack

Country:NicaraguaSize:5 x 50 Shape:Robusto Wrapper:Natural Strength:Full Quantity:5 Cigars

MSRP: $33.00
Monster Price: $22.98 w/ FREE Economy Shipping
...And Tex does that to me.  So much for the long view.

...and the Jaime Garcias are there again as well. Sounds like combo time.  ;)

Afternoon (WC Morning) to ya, Bret
Howdy Steve.  Shut the hell up about what's on the mash, wouldja?

Okay, fine... how 'bout the liquor store? Gonna pick up a bottle of Speyburn 10 Ogie recommended earlier this week. Just gotta pick out a smoke to accompany when I get home.
How 'bout cha? Martini night?
It must be nice to have a store with good selection.  PA needs to privatize.

Yeah. Don't even have to venture to the Total SuperStore. State store/Beer distributor's in PA seem like a downer when I can walk into any gas station, Walmart or grocery store and pretty much grab a nice variety of beer and wine... some even have liquor available. Now, even on Sunday!

FWIW, I found this on the Famous auction site: With the exception of Hawaii & Alaska Service, you will NOT incur any additional shipping charges for ordering more than one item.

So bid up to cover that shipping cost!

Probably not, because one good turn deserves another.  That means if I drink one martini, I'll probably have two, and they'll be doubles, and that will not be good for my shooting in the morning.  By the same token, the warden gets my attention tonight.  So, no time for a drink and a cigar.  Tomorrow, different story.  Probably Martinis and cigars with my compadre Keith after we're done with the IDPA match.

Busy day, I'm outta here you Pudgy Bastidges! Off to meet for drinks, my friend turned 50 today and I have to deliver a bottle of Lagavulin Distiller's Edition. Have a great weekend all
I turn 50 on May 26th.  Somebody make sure to remind Scott.
Sheesh. I thoguht you guys were the young crowd.  ;D jk
That's okay, I think Tex really thinks I'm Mexican too.
But not a commie, so you're OK.
I'm the next worst thing: a socially moderate, globalist, political pragmatist.  But I'm a gun hawk, a cigar fan, and an American Exceptionalist, so he'll tolerate me.  Mostly.
And since I don't know what half those words mean, I'll mostly tolerate you as well.

LALTS... nice. I changed it to Undocumented and it said 'asshole', so pretty close.

Sounds like a great cover shot for the next issue of The American Exceptionalist. I'd buy it. Gotta have an electric guitar in there too.

FYI, just because my wife asked me not to renew my B&M membership doesn't mean I'm actually going to comply.  Perhaps I gave the impression that I was.  I'm NOT going to have a conversation with her about it and adding this to the "why she's a fucking nut job" column.
