http://www.cubanlous.com/cuban-cigars/montecristo-cigars/super-100-combo-cigars
1 Box - Montecristo No.4 (25 cigars)
1 Box - Partagas Shorts (25 cigars)
1 Box - Bolivar Petit Coronas (25 cigars)
1 Box - San Cristobal El Principe (25 cigars)
Regular Price: 585.00
Special Price: 495.00
$4.95 per stick
Ironically, I had one of those Cuban San Cristobals on the way home tonight. My brother-in-law had brought me two from Mexico. The first one didn't draw for shit.  The one I smoked today was ok but burned crappy and had meh flavors, at best. I wouldn't spend that kind of money. But maybe that's just me.
key word in your post was Mexico. Good draw on all the el pricipes I've had.

Trust me, it's you.
I'm with Tony.  Generalizing, but priced due to origin only.  Taste is meh and sticks are plugged. It will be interesting when the embargo is lifted and the cachet gives way to true value.
Read a prediction that the impact of lifting the embargo will be in the market for everyday cigars.

In what way?  Price cuts due to the new (legal) competition?

Price/quality for every day smokes particularly machine made.  What the everyday Jose smokes.  What is sold the most on today's Cuban market.

I've only ever really enjoyed the Saint Luis Rey that KC has shared with me. I think I may still have a couple.

I've smoked many a Monte #2, some Hoyos that made Aficionado's top 5 last year, and a bunch of others but they generally just don't agree with my palate.

I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
