My sister posted a Veterans Day picture of Richard Overton from 2014 when she met him on his porch. he passed away last year didn't he Dave?

No sir, Richard is alive and well smoking cigars and sipping bourbon..  He had two bouts with pneumonia over the last year or so but has recovered from those.

He and my dad have the same birthday but would be 11 years younger.

I remember hearing he was ill. glad he's still smoking and drinking.

He was the Grand Marshall at this year's veterans day parade in Austin. Still kickin'

Indeed.  I have friends who are involved in the parade, and they're all happy he wasn't there.
