Today's Highlight in History:

On September 21, 1897, the New York Sun ran its famous editorial, written anonymously by Francis P. Church, which declared, "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus."

In 1893, one of America's first horseless carriages was taken for a short test drive in Springfield, Massachusetts, by Frank Duryea, who had designed the vehicle with his brother, Charles.

Not many places to get a drink there I bet, hopefully you can find a quiet spot or to for smoking.

That's why I like staying at Courtyards, all have a decent place to enjoy a cigar.  As for an adult beverage, SLC is not near as bad as it used to be ( tourist dollars are too important I guess), there is eve a nice microbrew restaurant downtown that I'll hit tomorrow.  But still a little quirky.
