Took the wife out for Italian food tonight.

Tomorrow I have to take #1 son to the airport at 5am.  But I'll sneak a post in on the banter, just to annoy SCDave.

My holster guy opened his books for 15 orders yesterday.  So I ordered a new rig.  Charred chocolate rough-out with marbled tan trim in his Wings of Icarus pattern.  Cut for the Romeo 1 Pro red dot optic.  Matching double magazine carrier.  Matching belt.  Can't wait to get it.  Will be a few months, I'm sure.

We are starting to discover that the Russian Army is not all that fearsome nor well-trained.

I continue to stock up on full capacity magazines.  I now have a whole shelf in the safe dedicated to magazines.  Going to buy all I can before July 1 when the new limits go into effect.  Politicians are completely stupid.

I wasn't going to buy any more guns this year, but then I found an 80's-vintage Smith & Wesson 686, like the one I used to have, on an auction site.  Yes, I put a bid in.  It was a pretty high bid.  Didn't even last 2 hours before  I was outbid.   Bummer.

My disrupted sleep patterns are hammering me.  I'm sitting here fighting sleep because if I go to bed right now, I'll wake up at 2AM and be wide awake.

This is the 686 I bid on.  I'd have paid $850.  Not sure I want to pay $1000.

The news isn't helping me post-whore.  Except for the fighting in Ukraine, it's all pointless and stupid.

People ask me, "Why aren't you playing Wordle?  You'd probably be good at it." 

I reply, "What makes you think I'm not playing?" 

"Well, you don't ever share the little picture of your result on social media."

I just smile.
