It's Tuesday again! In between insults we'll occasionally discuss cigars. Join in and perhaps learn something along the way. Warning: don't proceed if you have thin skin but don't be afraid to post either... And welcome aboard!

Wonder if he left already?
Knowing him, he's already been on the road for an hour and is on his second cigar.

Time for a quick smoke on my way home. Wanted to smoke this for St. Patty's and never got the chance.
Really nice smoke. I will look for the Espinosa Wasabi.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190429/3d3141fb10660936f37199277f702de0.jpg)
Wasabi!
I was expecting a little more spice in the nose. I did get some but I'm pretty sure the name comes from the candela wrapper rather than from the taste.
Better marketing buzz word than just green.
Thought it was decent, no grassy taste.
I have yet to try one of the wasabi's. Hector blends some good cigars
That cigar still has me thinking about it. I used to smoke candelas on the regular and didn't mind the "grassy" taste for a change of pace. But this cigar wasn't that at all. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's box worthy. It's definitely one I want to keep in my rotation. With all that said, there was a Villiger cigar that I thought the same about until I smoked a second one. Therefore, I probably should hold off on buying a box, at least until I smoke another.

Seems like the rational thing to do.

Perhaps it's just that cigars taste better this time of year?
-
good morning guys.
no, Enterprise picks me up at noon, then I'll leave after I load the rental. hope to make a parking area in Georgia. will be making quite a few stops seeing there's no smoking in the rental.

That could definitely be. I know I live for that first whiff of air walking into the CI store for CF.
-
Route 95 Georgia welcome Center is about a 5 hour drive, 289 miles. that will be my first 'nap' stop.

Didn't realize you finally settled on a rental. There had been talk about taking your own car.
In any case, keep us posted and safe travels.

my trust factor with my truck is the main reason for renting a car. if it were anything other than my daughter's wedding I'd be fine. I am not going to chance missing this.

But depending on how many cups of coffee, may be off the road...

Today is Tuesday, April 30, the 120th day of 2019. There are 245 days left in the year.
Today’s Highlight in History:
On April 30, 1975, the Vietnam War ended as the South Vietnamese capital of Saigon fell to Communist forces.
On this date:
In 1789, George Washington took the oath of office in New York as the first president of the United States.
In 1803, the United States purchased the Louisiana Territory from France for 60 million francs, the equivalent of about $15 million.
In 1812, Louisiana became the 18th state of the Union.
In 1900, engineer John Luther “Casey” Jones of the Illinois Central Railroad died in a train wreck near Vaughan, Mississippi, after staying at the controls in a successful effort to save the passengers.
In 1912, Universal Studios had its beginnings as papers incorporating the Universal Film Manufacturing Co. were filed and recorded in New York State.
In 1945, as Soviet troops approached his Berlin bunker, Adolf Hitler committed suicide along with his wife of one day, Eva Braun.
In 1968, New York City police forcibly removed student demonstrators occupying five buildings at Columbia University.
In 1970, President Richard M. Nixon announced the U.S. was sending troops into Cambodia, an action that sparked widespread protest.
In 1973, President Richard Nixon announced the resignations of top aides H.R. Haldeman and John Ehrlichman, Attorney General Richard G. Kleindienst and White House counsel John Dean, who was actually fired.
In 1983, blues singer and guitarist Muddy Waters died in Westmont, Ill., at age 68.
In 1993, top-ranked women’s tennis player Monica Seles was stabbed in the back during a match in Hamburg, Germany, by a man who described himself as a fan of second-ranked German player Steffi Graf. (The man, convicted of causing grievous bodily harm, was given a suspended sentence.)
In 2004, Arabs expressed outrage at graphic photographs of naked Iraqi prisoners being humiliated by U.S. military police; President George W. Bush condemned the mistreatment of prisoners, saying “that’s not the way we do things in America.”
-
Ten years ago: Riding a crest of populist anger, the House approved, 357-70, a bill to restrict credit card practices and eliminate sudden increases in interest rates and late fees. Chrysler filed for bankruptcy protection; the federal government pledged up to $8 billion in additional aid and to back warranties. The Iraq war formally ended for British forces as they handed control of the oil-rich Basra area to U.S. commanders. A man drove his car into a crowd of parade spectators in Amsterdam, killing seven people in an attempt to attack the Dutch royal family (the attacker, Karst Tates, died of his injuries).
Five years ago: Iraq voted in its first nationwide election since U.S. troops withdrew in 2011. Police in Northern Ireland arrested Sinn Fein (shin fayn) party leader Gerry Adams over his alleged involvement in the Irish Republican Army’s 1972 abduction, killing and secret burial of a 38-year-old Belfast widow, Jean McConville (Adams was released without charge). A lawyer for Toronto Mayor Rob Ford said Ford would take a leave of absence to seek help for substance abuse.
One year ago: Central Americans who traveled in a caravan through Mexico to the U.S. border near San Diego began turning themselves in to U.S. authorities to seek asylum in a challenge to the Trump administration. New details emerged on a rift between White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and President Donald Trump, with one former administration official saying Kelly had privately called Trump “an idiot.” (Trump announced in December that Kelly would be leaving at the end of the year.) The Time’s Up campaign, devoted to helping women in the aftermath of sexual abuse, called for further investigation into allegations that singer R. Kelly had sexually abused women. (R. Kelly would be charged in February with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse; investigators alleged that he had abused three girls and a woman starting in the late 1990s.)

Still @ work here. Will read banter later. I like the creme that Hector blended too and I'm not a big Connecticut guy. Yeah cigars do taste a bit better when you can enjoy them outside without the weather being a factor. Always buy another single lol hear ya..

Enjoyed it, nothing exceptional, no strong grassy taste, not a lot of pepper as Tony said except at the beginning and some on retro.

So you want me to put another aside for you?
Good morning, NJDave. I may have another, I'll have to look. But in any case, I'm sure I'll be able to procure one. Thanks anyway.
That was basically a "thanks but GFY!" He doesn't remember that you gave him that one ;D
Probably not.

Time for a quick smoke on my way home. Wanted to smoke this for St. Patty's and never got the chance.

However, you can GFY.

I have a date with a younger than me redhead upon my return from NY.
Younger than you doesn't give us a whole lot of info.
I was 13 years old and in jail for the first time when she was born.
Why couldn't you leave out the jail part?

Mail call coming today. Romeo San Andres by AJ.
Smoking an Oliva MB3 Churchill finally home from work. Take a nap rinse, repeat.

Details of his misspent youth reinforce his reformed ways. Besides, the ladies go for that bad boy image, or so I'm told.

Not really, overcast, sprinklers, rain coming in tonight, tomorrow, through end of the week.

Not exactly. However, today I did get a pat on the back. I'm pretty sure he's bipolar.

I've known her since I've been in Florida. met her in an Attitude Adjustment meeting. I knew her boyfriend who died of cancer about 18 months ago. she started talking me up after meetings the past few months. she asked if I'd be interested in getting together. last night one thing of interest was she thought she came across as "a sex starved hussey" and apologised for it. I replied that she had nothing to apologise , that I wouldn't know a sex starved hussey if she slapped me in the face.
just got off the phone with her in fact.
