Florida Man is released from jail on an auto theft charge. He immediately breaks into another car in the jail’s parking lot and is caught because a deputy was sitting behind the wheel, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office said. Klaid Karpuzi, 41, of New Port Richey was marched back into the correctional facility and booked on a second attempted auto theft charge in November 2018.

"Florida Man" and hurricanes are generally a bad combo, but this year was different. That's because one Florida man came up with a genius way of protecting his Smart car from Hurricane Dorian when he decided to park it in his kitchen. "I said there was no way he could. He said he could," the man's wife said. "So he opened the double doors and had it in. I was amazed that it could fit. He had it in with no problems."

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Florida man was “buck naked” when he showed up to the front door of a home where an undercover sex sting operation was being conducted, according to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.

Records show Rodney Davis was one of 124 people arrested during Operation Santa’s Naughty List, which targeted prostitutes, child predators and johns during a six-day period.

As part of the operation, deputies said they used internet advertisements to arrange meetings between suspects and undercover detectives.

Judd said Davis was among the 46 people accused of trying to meet a prostitute for sex.

Video from the undercover operation shows Davis was nude when he arrived at the undercover location.

“This guy walked up to the front door of this home in a neighborhood on a cool evening buck naked. Now if you don’t know the difference in naked and buck naked, buck naked means you’re not even wearing your socks. He didn’t have a stitch of clothes on but he was carrying a shirt, I guess in case of an emergency. He walked into the house, he was proud of himself - that’s up for debate,” Judd said.

DAYTONA BEACH — A woman who was naked when she shot a man to death outside an apartment was sentenced Monday to 25 years in prison, according to the State Attorney's Office.

Latasha Reaves, 41, pleaded no contest to a charge of second-degree murder, which carried a penalty of up to life in prison, said John Scott, spokesman for the 7th Circuit State Attorney R.J. Larizza's office.

Circuit Judge James Clayton adjudicated Reaves guilty and sentenced her to a minimum mandatory sentence of 25 years in prison.

Reaves will receive 698 days credit for time served in the Volusia County Branch Jail awaiting sentencing.
