Have a question for TexasDave or TexasBean....Tin roofs that are popular in Texas and the South.....with the impressive hailstorms you get.....wouldn't the house under that roof sound like the end of the world....and wouldn't those roofs (or even asphalt shingle types) be all beat to shit after a couple of storms (like my rental car was after one...?
Metal bldg roofs (ie standing seam) are much heavier gauge metal vs your car, and made of steel.  There is an underpayment of insulation board which provides both thermal and sound insulation, so a hail storm is of no consequence.  In fact, metal roofs stand up much better to the elements in these part vs asphalt.  The down side is $$.
Isn't it always?

Where is that bugger today?

Odds are a meeting he has no interest attending... if I were to guess.

Morning, muchachos.
Good morning, NorthWestRainforestBret
Well, the Rainforest is over on the peninsula, but good morning. Gorgeous here today. Really wanted to ride the motorcycle today, but I was up late handling work issues, and too sleepy and grouchy to deal with the rush hour traffic.
Plus, you probably still have to make some minor modifications to those new leather chaps.  :-X
The chaps I already had. A new vest is what I picked up this week. Preparation for getting patched in to the club.
Christian Riders Gang?
Motorcycle ministry. The Black Sheep.
That's one I hadn't heard of.  There must be 50 different christian motorcycle clubs out there.
Oh, I'm sure there are more. But 50 is probably about right if you're counting the clubs recognized by the various confederations.

I usually avoid any club that would have me, but I'm friends with a number of these guys. When they asked me to be a founding member of the new Tacoma chapter, I couldn't figure out a polite way to say no. So, there it is. Peer-pressure leads to gang involvement. ;-)
Shows what I know, I thought you were being sarcastic.
Me? Sarcastic?? You jest, Shirley...I mean, surely.

Nah, it's true. Like I said, I usually avoid joining any "Christian" organizations because even though I are one, most find something about me to find fault with. It's the cigars, or the booze, or the guns, or the rock and roll, or the swearing, or my pointing out that Jesus swore, or the Harley, or the fact I think Sarah Palin is a fame-whore, or whatever. But the guys I know in the Black Sheep are stand-up, no-bullshit guys.
I'll +1 to all the points listed...
+2, though not sure about the Jesus swore reference.  What's the verse?
Luke 6:19: What are you looking at, bitch? That's right, walk away.
Interestingly, that could be a decent translation of John 2:4. But I won't bore you with the long, boring explanation.

John 2:4 is one of the most difficult passages of scripture to translate. It too is an idiom, but we've lost the historical context.
People generally don't like the perspective historical context provides to the bible....alters too many of their simplistic literal interpretations...not to mention rendering all of Revelation moot (as it's already happened).
All depends on what evidence you look at.
