My brother has 116 acres in Missouri.  In one of his pastures, if you get close to the ground and look across it, you can see where there are spots built up about a foot, and in an approx. sixteen foot circular shapes.  He said that Indians would build up the inside of their teepees, and the mounds were still there.  His barn was built with square hand made nails, so I assume it was true.

KC, it's a Southern California/ Mexican thing too! A 4 gallon pot of menudo, and 15 people in a 2 bedroom apt. Gotta hand it to 'em, though. It was probably better than the dirt floors they were used too. They have my respect.
