Punkin - good 'natural' pumpkin beer, way different than Pumking, just more natural and subdued tasting.
2XMAS - flavor explosion of spices and fruit notes, one of my favorite beers on tap, it's a little subdued in the bottle but still solid.
Sorry Not Sorry - Really good!  Almost like a weak double-IPA, but it's the peaches that give it that added sweetness and cut into the hoppy/piney bitterness.
Stone X - Amazing beer, kicking myself for not buying 2 6packs in MPLS so I hope I can find it here.  Love how the pepper flavors come out as the beer warms up, like a good cigar progression of flavors as you drink it.
Chocolate Milk Stout - The BEST Choc Milt Stout as far as I am concerned.  Smooth as butter yet has a great carbonation level that still makes it a 'lighter' beer that doesn't make you full after 1 or 2.
BCBS 2015(13.7%) - As good if not better than I remembered - I tried to let it almost warm up a little to help bring out the bourbon flavors.

There were 3 of us, the Stone X was probably the favorite(not counting the BCBS), they also really liked that Choc Milk Stout and the Sorry Not Sorry.  My rankings would be:
BCBS
Stone X
Sorry Not Sorry
Choc Milk Stout
2XMAS
Punkin

G'Morning, Fellas... It's FRIDAY! (http://www.forumopolis.com/images/smilies/dance.gif)
Mornin Bean and Steve - TGIF!
Morning Shaun.  I keep reading about your fru-fru beer adventures I'm liable to dip my toe in those waters again.
Go with the 2Xmas, Enjoy by 12-25, or Terrapin Wake n Bake.  Only semi-fru fru!
His description of the Stone X sounded like a possibility as well.  I googled that Wake-n-Bake.  Oatmeal Stout?  Pretty far outside my wheelhouse.
Trust me on this.  Taste has very little to do with the name.  Actually Oatmeal and Milk Stouts have been around a long time.  Not so much Fru-Fru as retro.  Just go out and buy these three with maybe some Sam Adams Winter Lager and you will thank me!

It's just a delicious coffee stout, don't let the oatmeal throw you, can't detect any

The Winter Lager has spices and orange peel.  2 Xmas is very similar.  Enjoy by 12-25 has a fruitiness similar to Sculpin to balance the hops.  Wake-n-Bake is a solid stout with coffee overtones.

Red is healthier, but Blush is sweeter.  Good afternoon BD!
Sweeter sounds good.  Sweet wine with a Kuba, I wonder if that will go well...?  I really didn't think a Bloody Mary would go well with a cigar, but I was surprised that it went well with the Oliva I had the other day.  I should have chose a cigar with allot of pepper in it. I bet that would have gone well.

the Perdomo sale looks good for the Slow Aged.  Never tried the fresh rolled.  not sure I want to try a whole wheel of them though.
I'd hate to buy a wheel of them and not like them...  I did see an ad for Drew Estates (20) 2nd's, and that was tempting.

My wife came home this morning and said, "The headlights on my car are broke..."  I asked her, "Did you do anything, like turn some switches or anything...?"  No...!  Are they set to, "Auto...?"  Yes...!  Then, the headlight don't come on during the daylight...!  Oh, yes they do...!!!  Well, why do you think they named the switch auto....?  It comes on at night and goes off during the day...!  No they don't, they always stay on...!  Then why did they name the switch auto...?  Why didn't they name it, "Always stays on...!"  The headlights are broke, she replies...!  I'm sorry, but no they are not...!  Well, your going to go out to my car tonight and see if they come on...!  OK..., to be continued around 10 O'clock tonight...  Ugh...!  Maybe I'm getting old or something, but women are fricking nuts...!

Well, you're both kinda right.  Auto as you say turns on the headlights when it gets dark.  There are however driving lights that are on whenever the car is on.  For some they may be confused as headlights.

Good luck explaining day time running lights and ambient light sensing headlights after that first exchange. lol
So do parking lights come on when you park?
I don't know.  I keep my eyes closed.  Especially around the trunk.

Got a Man O War in my pocket, so it's time for a walk.  BBL

Now say that to every random female you pass on the way and see if you get any interest...
It's a numbers game.  The more females you ask, the better your odds are.
May be true, but I'd rather just take the cigar out and smoke it.  Besides, it was a corona.

Yeah. I guess having her say "is that a corona in your pocket, or are you just glad to see me" could be a bit emasculating.
Better than laughing at your Nub.

See, Dad gets it... with costumes sometimes too!  ;)
For some odd reason, the costume turns her back into a teenager.  And some times a daring one at that.

Then I say, BEST $15 you ever spent!
I'd say so...  One is a pink genie costume.  I'm still trying to figure out how she can jump out of a cigar box...?

79° here and a slight breeze. 80's predicted for tomorrow. got the kayaks loaded for lady and I. maybe we can have some island hopping sex.
been looking for kayaks and car carrier,  any recommendations?
With or without lady companions?
without preferably, tired of trying to explain them away to the warden.
Always a bit of a challenge.

no. I have a homemade trailer the lady bought me for $150. works for me.
Is that a different one from your shrubbery hauling trailer?

And hello Mr. Cincinnati!
Where in your travels are you this afternoon?
Actually in NJ for a change.  Heading to Florida tomorrow for a couple of days.
You joining Dean for some kayaking?
Ya know, that idea has some merit.

Important Chit Here!

half wheel

At the moment, the U.S. Congress is debating the Omnibus spending bill, a large piece of legislation that provides funding for the government.

In it, a provision has been included that would exempt premium cigars from regulation by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). The language is the best case scenario for premium cigars. It would allow cigar makers to continue to produce premium cigars regardless of price, size, age and flavoring.

There is no guarantee the language will make it into the final legislation, which is expected to be introduced today, and leaders within the cigar industry are asking any cigar smoker to contact Speaker Paul Ryan (202.225.0660) and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (202.225.4000) in order to voice their concerns about how important this language is for the future of cigars.

If included, the language will remove much of the uncertainty regarding the future of the premium cigar industry. For halfwheel readers, this will ensure that publications like halfwheel will continue to have an industry to write about.

We urge you to make the calls and let your voice be heard.
