Morning, Tex.  Need a backup pistole in .40 S&W for my trip to Frontsight in April.  Needs to be on the less expensive side due to my purchase of the AR-15 and planned purchase of a hunting rifle later in the year.  Recommendations?

Single or Double stack and reasonable carry size or full size?

Hmm...let's say reasonable carry size, since it will be backing up the full-size Glock.

Put an extended magazine in it    Be aware that deals and selections are neither very good right now!! Ruger SR40 might be a good choice.   I would consider a M&P 40C, FNS 40C, Glock 23.

I am going to send you a link for M&P 40C at the best deal I know of Now at a reputable supplier.

I had been thinking about the S&W.  Thanks.  I've got until March to find a deal, so won't rush it.
