can anyone find me a deal on a mild morning cigar?

yes

CB taught you well Grasshopper.

I generally think cheap, mild $1-$2 cigars taste like cheap, crap cigars.  Can't be of much help at this specific point in time but some milder cigars I've gotten on sale lately, or as part of closeouts, have been old label Camacho connecticuts, Fuente Chateau Fuente naturals... also look for EPC NWCs on the Jam and load up when they surface.  They're up regularly enough that I'm sure an email/phone call could get you Jam pricing.

thanks Joe.
I need to stock up on Camacho connies, AF Chateau's, and New Waves, plus a few others. just all filled up with med-full at the present.

but wanted to keep the banter geared towards cigar conversations. ha.

I've definitely been favoring milder cigars recently.  MF Connies are nice but not exactly cheap.  Other milder bodied cigars I've liked (though not necessarily good 'morning cigars' since they tend to be fuller flavored) are Illusione Rothchildes, CyBs, and the Tat Black we've been talking about.  Or ISOKWs.  I don't think anything pairs better with coffee in the morning than a Partagas Short or Ramon Allones SS or any ISOKW.  Not the cheapest cigars ever but also not horrible.

Lot of positive comments on the CLE connie, but once again not really 'cheap'.
CLE Connie Robustos at Famous 5/$19.95 - 15/$50 after coupon

Those are some good options, Fish. I was trying to go more of the Oy price range...

5V Gold
5V Gold Maddy
Alec Bradley 97 Harvest or Habano(used to be my go-to)
Erin Go Brah
Maybe some seconds or overruns?

Gross.  Just smoke a Marlboro instead if you're stooping to 5 Vegas Golds.
Really!  I would definitely go the dried chicken bones over the 5 Vegas anything
The old Miamis were great, when Pepin made em...the AAA is super solid, the A is decent

The only AAAs I've had and liked have been the coronas.  I guess the larger sizes are OK but start competing with other cigars I'd rather buy at that price point.

I am not a frequent morning smoker but when I do smoke a morning cigar (usually on vacation and such) I best like a Hemingway Short Story.  Very nice morning cigar and you can sometimes find them on special which is when I buy them..    The LGC Wavell is also a nice morning smoke and those can sometimes be found on special.

Agreed, those Short Stories are nice.  Had a Short Story maduro over the weekend, that one is definitely in my Top 5.

They are great and I buy  up some when on a good special because while I don't smoke one in the morning that often they make great outdoor winter time smokes, which I know should not be a factor for you!

Well, it can get rather cold where I am at night in the winter.  Nothing like North Dakota or any of those other nightmare states in the midwest ... or east coast... but still down to mid 30s/low 40s.  Yeah, warm for some places in December but you get used to the climate wherever you are.  And 40 is fucking cold out here.

Use to cart them on the regular on a JAM 5/19.50, but haven't seen them in quite awhile. That was a great deal, imo.

I did not think you got below the 50's too often.  Not North D cold here either but we get to the 30's in Jan and Feb quite regularly but most days at least gets up into the mid-high 50's.  Get 5-7 days a year in the 20's and an occasional teen's.
