what you are talking about.

Good morning OvertimeDave.
Today and tomorrow. I'm either a glutten for punishment, or a sucker for money. Or both. Also helps get used to my new schedule that kicks in next month, going to 4 10 hour days. Should make for one tired Dave come Friday night.
Those 3 days a week off will be nice though, I work 5 11 hour days a week but I don't think the owners will ever let me switch to 4 day work weeks.
Yeah, it will. Plus I'll have an actual weekend. Been here 11+ years, I don't think in all that time I've had Saturdays and Sundays off. I won't know what to do with myself.

Late-Season Freeze to Threaten Northeast Friday Night

It might feel more like late October rather than late May in the Northeast on Friday night as temperatures dip well below normal.

Frost will threaten gardens across the region on Friday night as chilly air moves in from Canada.

Welcome Home CA-NJ Dave & Happy Friday Smoking in the Park Mayor.  Be sure to take some extra cigars for the vagrants.
Good morning, Tex.  Looking forward to a cigar in the park later today.
Isn't that illegal?
Private park.
That sounds right.  Also the La Palina guy is one of the sponsors and the park has the same name, so I'm guessing there is a connection there.
Oh is this an event?
I think you need to change Shaun's Deadbeat Status to MIA if he fails to report in by lunch.
Well, this is training week, so he would have less free time than usual, but he is setting a bad precedent.
I think training ended Wednesday.  Hell I am not hammering him I am concerned he is confined to quarters or some other commie activity.

Coffee ready, nice Joya Red to start the day in NJ.
Put a couple of tablespoons of vinegar in that first cup of coffee.
but try different vinegar, don't always use plain white distilled vinegar,
mix it up try a nice sherry vinegar, or if you are having fish & chips, use a malt vinegar!
good morning boys...

I did notice.  And I think it's a good cause so I will stop by a shop and pick one up on the way there.  If a do an early getaway, I'll be forced to spend more time with the family.  I'll get plenty of time with them over the next 3 days.

Just making sure the different time group can celebrate his victory.
The Fuk'n Joisey Boyz Trio Mob strikes, Tony should be  chiming in soon.  Jeez!  Got to recruit some new Texans.
Heck, the Texans you got keep coming to Jersey.
That is mostly a fact with the non fact being the "s" after Texan.  Only two of us left and only way I get to Jersey for more than 3 days would be in a coffin when my family wanted to get even with me.
They wouldn't do that even to get even with you....too expensive here.

Morning, muchachos.  Short work day today, leaving early to pick up beer and head for the sunny side of the mountains for the long weekend.
What up, Bret?
Morning Raz, sounds like a good plan you got.
I believe so.  Gonna pick up a variety of Ballast Point stuff to try, and see if it lives up to the Banter hype.
Sculpin is mighty good I must say but IMHO mighty expensive too.  I would drink it a lot more than I do if it was about 30% cheaper.
Tight-wad
Practicing for retirement. ;)

Had to fill in some data for my family tree last night.  My maternal great-grandfather (Raleigh Vester Everett) was second-generation born in Frio County.  Does that count me in?

On the other hand, his grandfather, Andrew Dariot Everett, was born in Alabama in February 1818.  Maybe don't want to claim that.

That line apparently traces all the way back to Clovis I, at least according to the Mormons.  That would make me French.  Dear God.

That's what you get with those commie beers.  Can't make it an everyday thing.
We'll have plenty of Budweiser this weekend to balance it out and validate our redneck bona fides.

AUSTIN (KXAN) – Outlaw biker gangs plan to arm themselves with explosives and target police officers in Texas, according to a bulletin sent out by the Department of Public Safety. The alert, which warns police agencies from Austin to North Texas to watch out, comes just days after a biker-gang brawl in Waco left nine people dead.
Citing an unnamed informant, DPS said members of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club who are in the military are supplying the gang with grenades and C-4 explosives.
The bulletin said the gangs are “plotting to target high-ranking law enforcement officials with car bombs.” It goes on to say the members will try to run over officers at traffic stops or use grenades and Molotov cocktails.

Cigar company. If you're on FB and interested in trying them out, they have a contest going on right now to win a sampler of smokes. The answer is Carlos Sanchez and Luis Cuevas.

This sounds right up your alley Tony!

Try to order "pork roll" in most of the country and you'll probably get a blank stare. But in New Jersey, pork roll is a staple at diners, restaurants and food trucks from Cape May to the Meadowlands. And this unsung meat product is now the star of not one, but two competing festivals on Saturday in Trenton.

To the untrained eye, pork roll looks like Canadian bacon. But New Jersey residents know better.

"It's like Spam meets bacon — but with a whole other set of spices that we don't know anything about," says Maggie Kowalski, of Bayonne, N.J. "We just have to accept that. And we do."

Looks nice!
This pic makes it seem empty but there are about 50 people here and I would guess about 20% women.
I thought it looked like a pretty nice gathering of folks.

Mostly cigars or cigarettes?

And we do."
Very regional product.  Up Tony's way and in NYC it's probably Taylor Ham which is a poor cousin.  Actually Taylor ham is now available in much of the country.  Here in Trenton, the two products are Taylor and Case pork roll.  I prefer Case myself.

Haven't seen one cigarette while I was here.
(Edit)  I stand corrected.  One of the ladies lit one after she was done with her cigar.
