Just one new club, my 4-wood. Hit it like an absolute dream. The rest of the round was up and down. On the back 9, I made 5 pars and 4 doubles. Lots of feast or famine today, it seemed. Ended up with an 83 against a par of 70.

I'm impressed. When I played on the regular, I never broke 100.

For the first round in 6 months, I'm pleased. Lots of little mistakes that I shouldn't be making sprinkled in. My goal this year is to shoot around 80 on a regular basis.

morning guys. got released from the hospital last night. had a stroke a few days ago right after golf.
on the plus side I turned 70 today. my daughter and SIL just sent me this.

That's getting it done alright. Sounds almost like the bishop in Caddyshack who gets struck by lightning after missing the last putt during the best round of his life.
