lady wanted me to spend the night as did the Water Dept, but I was hurting so much I passed on both offers. neighbor lady coming over soon for coffee and bringing donuts. Puerto Rican lady has invited me for dinner and cigars, seeing how the crippled model moved out. I'm tired already.

On this date
In 1778, during the American Revolutionary War, the United States won official recognition and military support from France with the signing of a Treaty of Alliance in Paris.
In 1788, Massachusetts became the sixth state to ratify the U.S. Constitution.
In 1933, the 20th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, the so-called "lame duck" amendment, was proclaimed in effect by Secretary of State Henry Stimson.
In 1952, Britain's King George VI, 56, died at Sandringham House in Norfolk, England; he was succeeded as monarch by his 25-year-old elder daughter, who became Queen Elizabeth II.
In 1968, the Winter Olympic Games were opened in Grenoble, France, by French President Charles de Gaulle.

In 1987, Wall Street Journal reporter Gerald Seib was released after being detained six days by Iran, accused of being a spy for Israel; Iran said the detention was a result of misunderstandings.

Pop music star Falco, who had a 1986 hit with "Rock Me Amadeus," died in a traffic accident in the Dominican Republic; he was 40. Carl Wilson, a founding member of The Beach Boys, died in Los Angeles at age 51.
In 2000, first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton launched her successful candidacy for the U.S. Senate.
In 2003, Edging closer to war, President George W. Bush declared "the game is over" for Saddam Hussein and urged skeptical allies to join in disarming Iraq. ABC's "20/20" aired a British documentary, "Living With Michael Jackson," in which the King of Pop revealed he sometimes let children sleep in his bed.
In 2008, the Bush White House defended the use of the interrogation technique known as waterboarding, saying it was legal — not torture as critics argued — and had saved American lives. The Phoenix Suns acquired Shaquille O'Neal in a stunning blockbuster deal that sent four-time All-Star Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks to the Miami Heat.

Ten years ago: Key senators and the White House reached tentative agreement on an economic stimulus measure at the heart of President Barack Obama's recovery plan. Federal health officials said Peanut Corp. of America, a Georgia peanut processor, had knowingly shipped salmonella-laced products as far back as 2007. Death claimed actors James Whitmore at age 87 and Philip Carey at age 83.

Five years ago: House Speaker John Boehner all but ruled out passage of immigration legislation before the fall elections. A suicide bomber blew himself up at the gates of a Syrian prison and rebels stormed in behind him, freeing hundreds of inmates. Jay Leno said goodbye to NBC's "The Tonight Show" for the second time, making way for Jimmy Fallon to take over as host. Baseball Hall of Famer Ralph Kiner, 91, died in Rancho Mirage, California. Former U.S. poet laureate Maxine Kumin died in Warner, New Hampshire, at age 88.

One year ago: Casino mogul Steve Wynn resigned as chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts amid sexual misconduct allegations. SpaceX's big new rocket blasted off from the Kennedy Space Center on its first test flight, carrying a red sports car on a route that would take it to the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Poland's president signed legislation making it a crime to blame Poland for Holocaust crimes committed by Nazi Germany.

Autopsy: Man died of meth overdose before being eaten by bear at national park

Park officials say an autopsy found that a man whose body was discovered being eaten by a bear in Great Smoky Mountains National Park in September died of accidental methamphetamine intoxication, not a bear attack.

A park news release Monday says officials decided to euthanize the bear that was feeding on the body of 30-year-old William Lee Hill Jr., of Louisville, Tennessee.

Man previously charged with molesting horse arrested with sex toy and taser
NBC4 Staff·5 hours ago
An Alabama man is facing an attempted burglary charge after police say he tried to break into a home while carrying a sex toy and a Taser.

According to the Mobile County Sheriff's Office, it happened Monday at a home on Matlock Road in Mobile. Homeowners reported someone was trying to come in through a kitchen window.

The suspect disappeared after the homeowner screamed.

Deputies said they found several other neighbors who said the man either knocked on their door or was seen going in and out of several yards.

Deputies eventually found a man riding a bicycle that fit the description of the suspect. Homeowners identified him as the person who tried to break in.

That person was identified as 19-year-old Daniel James Bennett.

Deputies said Bennett was found carrying a Taser, a pair of hair styling scissors, a pack of razor blades and a large rubber sex toy with a tube attached to it.

Bennett was previously arrested in January, 2018, accused of molesting a horse.

Stupid Bitch, but i guess it serves the CT Commies right.

Connecticut State Rep. Jillian Gilchrest (D-13th) Is Pushing A 50 Percent Tax On Ammunition Purchases In Her State.

Gilchrest is willing to exempt police and military personnel from the impost, but homeowners worried about defending their lives and those of their families get no such break.

More Commie Stupidity

Nancy Pelosi and her anti-gun team are either profoundly stupid or genuinely evil.

Although either answer is arguably correct, the latter most likely explains H.R. 8 -- a bill that is scheduled for a hearing this week in the House Judiciary Committee.

With H.R. 8, Pelosi and her gun-hating cronies have crafted a “Universal Background Check” bill with dozens of trap doors that could, if enforced to the letter, put millions of gun owners in prison.
Specifically, the bill outlaws the “transfer” of a firearm without a Brady Check. While this includes private sales, it by no means is limited to that.

The term “transfer” is nowhere defined, but it’s clear from the bill that handing your gun to a neighbor for as little as one second is a “transfer” unless you’re covered by one of the bill’s so-called exceptions.

So if you show off your new gun to your neighbor in your living room, and hand it to him to look at, you’re a criminal, and can go to prison for up to a year under federal level.

But as onerous as this provision is, the worst part consists of the Universal Gun Registry the bill would create.

Under H.R. 8, since every gun transfer will go through a dealer, every gun owner will have a 4473.

Also Got those kind where you are headed next, very sad stories like this on a regular basis down here.

OCONEE COUNTY, SC (WIS) - A South Carolina man has been charged in the death of a 7-month-old child in his care after he admitted to being high on meth.

Austin Rogers, of Salem, SC, was arrested on Feb. 4 and charged with homicide by child abuse, three weeks after the death of the child.

According to a sheriff’s office press release, deputies responded to the home in Salem, SC and saw first responders trying to revive the child, but it was unsuccessful. Investigators with Oconee County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the death at that time and the coroner’s office ruled that the child died of asphyxia.

Incident reports from the Oconee County Sheriff's Office said Rogers squeezed the child with his arm in between his armpit and chest until she "got quiet," laid her face-down on the bed and a pillow, and didn't check on her for 45 minutes.

Let me explain to you what “Universal Background Check” really means.

1) it means national registration database for the purpose of future confiscation
2) it means going through all the bullshit and expense of going to a licensed dealer and payin god knows what to sell OR give someone a gun
3)  it means bad peoples will steal even more guns
4)  it means if you go to the range with others to shoot you can’t shot someone else’s  gun

And a prime example of the mess it makes is when I pass on they would likely try to confiscate my guns, of which there are quite a few.  If confiscation did not occur then if they were to be inherited by my son or wife he/she would have to go through the bullshit and expense  of legal transfer through a licensed dealer for every individual gun.
