David! That is awesome. Warden saw it over my shoulder, and wants to go there! What city is that across the water?

Okay, Nice! I just got my Rosetta Stone Latin America Spanish! Maybe in the time it takes me to learn it, I can save the money to go there! In other words, be there in 10 years!

Ken, so much for smoking this faster.  I'm around 70 minutes right now with a handful of puffs left.  Hasn't really heated up yet even though it only has about an inch left to it.  The SCs I've smoked have all had excellent construction and this one is no different.

And now for a MOW Side Project Skull Crusher.  The foot end of the figurado is split about an inch and a half up the wrapper, very rare for an AJ to have that.  Oh well.  Draw works.

Yep, me too.  OyDave, enjoy the rest of your vaca.  You make me want to plan a South Padre Island escape for the fall.  It's no Punta Sur, but it'll do.  Adios, mofos.

Evening Dave!  Awesome view.
Nothing but blue skies - and blue seas. Enjoy.   Did I mention how I hate auto-correct?

Excellent short smoke, obviously quality tobacco and rollers.  I just tend to prefer the stronger Cuban blends.  This is an excellent change of pace from that, for sure, and much better suited to the morning than a Partagas Short or Bolivar CJ.

The Rafael Gonzalez Perla is an interesting alternative to the SC EP.  Not as thick and creamy of a smoke.  A little sweeter up front with a fuller and slightly more aggressive pepper/spice profile for the second half.  Both are clearly trying to do different things, though I think both would work very well as a morning coffee type cigar.
