I was waiting at a sandwich shop this past weekend waiting for my order, and the TV they had on was showing some crazy sport I'd never seen or heard of before. I wish I could remember the name of it, but it was 4 people around a circle (2 teams of 2), and in the middle of the circle was a small trampoline-type contraption. They had a ball, and you served it off the trampoline and then they had to smack it around. That's about as much of the rules as I could figure out. It was out there, like a suped-up version of 4-Square.

Spikeball.  It's a thing.

Spikeball, that's what it was. I knew it started with an S and ended with ball, but couldn't remember the rest. Thanks, that would've bugged me all day.

And it was a thing, alright. A crazy, hectic thing.

Even mediocre barbeque is better than no barbeque.

The worst barbecue beats hell out of McDonald's or Subway.

I'll be heading north to Snohomish county this weekend.  After seven months, my 1965 Fender Twin Reverb has been restored to health, along with a couple of other pieces of gear.  So I'll be picking it up and dropping off two more amps to be fixed.  Hopefully those won't take 7 months.

My first stop on Saturday will be at my tailor's.  Never thought I'd have a tailor, but I do.  My first made-to-measure suit is ready for final fitting.  Never thought I'd have a made-to-measure suit.  But I'm going to.

I've thought about getting a custom-made suit, but since I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've worn a suit in the last 5 years, didn't seem worth it.

On the other hand, Friday I'm finally going in to get fitted for a new set of irons. I've been wanting to do that forever, so I'm finally gonna make it happen.

I wear a suit about 5 times a year.  Christmas, Easter, the odd date to the Symphony, and any weddings or funerals I do.  Probably isn't worth the money, but I had the money, so I did it.
