Are the boys living with you?

The nephews?  Yeah, they and their mom are living with us.  All come out of really nasty background so we took them in two years ago and have been providing stability.  Results have been very positive.

You and your wife are fine human beings. At least, in this regard.

Which you're not supposed to know about doesn't exist.

It's an open secret.  Leftists think that more legislation will make people freer and more equal, that giving the government more money will mean poor people get more, and that the solution to homelessness is more cheap housing.  So they're either hypocrites, lunatics, or morons.  Since they seem fairly sane and many of them are very rich, successful, and creative, but they continue to promote policies that are at odds with evidence and their own experience, it must be hypocrisy.  They don't really want more freedom and more equality, they just want control.

Think that's a given across the political board. You could easily substitute trickle-down economics in that second sentence and be talking about Republicans.

Sure, except what the left calls trickle-down economics isn't trickle-down economics, and even if it were it would work better than the welfare state.

They are both proven failed policies that they are too lazy to revisit or attempt to improve.

Actually, trickle-down economics was never policy nor even proposed as a policy.  It was a monumental straw-man argument that somehow took up residence in the American hive mind.

How do they handle ties in playoff hockey? Penalty shots after OT periods, or do they just keep playing until someone scores?

I only saw the first 90 minutes and then the boys had a dive meet. So now when I returned home I watched the end of the game. Spain actually played a better game up to the penalty kicks where they blew it. But like you said, I'll take the win.
