Regional accents are a connection to history. Most people don't realize that if you showed up at the Globe Theater in the 1590's to see the latest Shakespeare play, the actors onstage would all sound more like they were from Alabama than London. The "proper" British accent we know now - called "Received Pronunciation" - did not become commonplace in England until the 19th century.
And at that price, door #2 must be Cubans. Sheesh.
