Replaced mine and it still runs, but won't heat up. I'm guessing the fuse blowing must've burned out the heating element. We got 16 years out of it, and based on how much laundry we do, I guess that was a pretty good run.

Mine won't kick on at all so I have hope that replacing the fuse will work.

Edit: Come to think of it, mine is probably about 20 years old. We're looking to fix the basement and buy new appliances but I'm not ready just yet. If the thermal fuse buys me another year, I'll take it!

How about them cigar deals, huh? Do you remember when CI was selling Arganese cigars that were meant to be cut in half? There was a cap on both ends and no filler in the middle. The theory was that you would pay tax on one cigar, cut it in half and have two? They were as terrible as one could expect.
