Morning boys.  Lively Sunday AM on the banter.  Thunderstorms blew thru last night, only 69 deg outside.  I see a cigar in my near future.

I picked up a Crowned Heads the yellow rose torpedo from B&M yesterday. Anyone ever have one?
Yes.  They're supposed to be a Texas exclusive...
Thought it was good, but far from the best Crowned Heads has to offer.

Well, we all know how those exclusives work....... they are exclusive until they quit selling well at the exclusive location.

Officials: Florida Man Robs Wendy's After Grilling Burger

Investigators with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said a man broke into a Wendy’s on Jensen Beach Boulevard in Jensen Beach and stole a safe.

They said before he left the restaurant, he fired up the grill, made a burger, and had himself a snack.

The burglary was on June 23 and police said on that same night, he also tried to break into a gas station down the street.

I think he was drunk,” said Vinay Solanki, the manager of the gas station, Rocket Fuel.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office says the suspect forced his way into a Wendy's in Jensen Beach, Florida, by smashing a window with a brick. He then fired up the grill, made himself a hamburger, and walked away with the store's safe. He also went to another Jensen Beach restaurant, where he helped himself to more food and money

Update:  Police arrest 'modern day Hamburglar' in Martin County

JENSEN BEACH, Fla. —
- The suspect captured on video making himself a late night snack before stealing a restaurant safe has been arrested.

Martin County Sheriff’s detectives and Road Patrol deputies arrested Patrick Benson on Sunday morning.

Benson was charged with burglary, grand theft and attempted burglary after he was caught on video inside two Jensen Beach restaurants after hours.

Study Reinforces What We Already Know: Criminals Don’t Follow the Law

A new study led by Dr. Philip J. Cook of Duke University, for example, looks at the duration of the “last link – the elapsed time from the transaction that actually provided the offender with the gun in question.” Cook and his co-authors surveyed 221 people convicted of firearm-related offenses in Chicago incarcerated in state prisons about the gun they had at the time of their crime

“The CIS respondents were almost all barred from purchasing a gun from a gun store because of their prior criminal record—as a result, their guns were obtained by illegal transactions with friends, relatives, and the underground market.”

The study’s authors conclude that “more effective enforcement of the laws governing gun transactions may have a quick and pervasive effect on gun use in crime.”

Great simple demonstration of Socialism

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The city of Austin is launching a new program Monday to help local musicians earn money using digital tip jars.

The program is called “tip the band” and it’ll allow fans to give artists money, using a debit or credit card through a special device. The idea is to help local musicians keep up with the rising cost of living.

So far, only 10 of these devices have been handed out and those selected will be able to collect digital tips at live performances for a six-month period.

The city plans to take out about 10% of tips paid to performers. The city will also collect data over the next six months to study the impact of expanding the program in the future.

A Florida Man was arrested after clearing a canal “Dukes of Hazzard” style before crashing his Nissan Versa and fleeing the scene.

35-year-old Robert Foley cleared the water in his car and kept going until he hit a truck. Investigators say the Nissan was going at “such a great speed that it vaults/airborne and cleared the water canal/ditch in a fashion only to be described similar to what was depicted in the ‘Dukes of Hazzard“.
The Florida Man fled the scene but was spotted by helicopter. He was taken to a hospital for a broken back. He was arrested and charged with DUI and hit-and-run.
