Good morning, boys. Slept in since it looks like I'm working from home today. Kids' schools are closed due to state of emergency. Not a flake of snow yet to be seen here.
Sounds pretty serious. Morning, Tony.

Sounds like school districts here.  It might snow some, or maybe not at all, so close the schools.

(KARK) - A family-owned Christian grocery store with locations across several states in the Southeast is dealing with backlash as customers argue a weekly ad mailer included a controversial political message.

The ad book was sent to four Mac's Cashsaver stores in Arkansas. According to the store, the mailer typically includes a religious or political message. The current mailer includes a message that references the U.S./Mexico border wall controversy.

It reads: "Heaven has a wall, a gate and a strict immigration policy. Hell has open borders. Let that sink in."

Those words aren't sitting well with some customers.

Employees at the store in Camden, Arkansas say they've been approached by dozens of customers and received even more phone calls.

"They're just making a political spin out of it and getting the wrong idea of what it really means," says store manager Jack Digby.

Digby says the store owner is responsible for the message. He claims this was intended to have a Christian meaning, nothing political.

"I am for the company and I am for God. There's nothing wrong with what that statement says," Digby says.

TEN YEARS AGO: Saying he'd made a "mistake" by agreeing to serve, Republican Sen. Judd Gregg of New Hampshire abruptly withdrew his nomination as President Barack Obama's commerce secretary. A Colgan Air commuter plane crashed into a suburban Buffalo, N.Y., home, killing all 49 aboard and a person in the house. (The victims included Alison Des Forges, 66, a noted expert on the 1994 Rwanda genocide, and Gerry Niewood, 64, and Coleman Mellett, 34, members of Chuck Mangione's band.)

FIVE YEARS AGO: Legislation to raise the U.S. federal debt limit and prevent a crippling government default cleared Congress. Tina Maze of Slovenia and Dominique Gisin of Switzerland tied for gold in the Olympic women's downhill at Sochi; it was the first gold-medal tie in Olympic alpine skiing history. Actor-comedian Sid Caesar, 91, died in Beverly Hills, California.

ONE YEAR AGO: In a retreat from promises to balance the budget, President Donald Trump unveiled a $4.4 trillion plan that envisioned steep cuts to America's social safety net but mounting military spending; the outline acknowledged that the 2017 Republican tax overhaul would add billions to the deficit. Two Baltimore police detectives were convicted of robbery, racketeering and conspiracy at a trial that was part of a federal probe of corruption among rogue members of the city's police force. The National Portrait Gallery unveiled portraits of former President Barack Obama and his wife, painted by African-American artists chosen by the Obamas. American snowboarder Jamie Anderson won gold in the women's slopestyle event at the Winter Olympics in South Korea as winds whipped ice pellets across the jumps; most riders fell or abandoned their runs. Wild-haired comedian Marty Allen died in Las Vegas; he was 95.

OLDSMAR, Fla. (WFLA) – Pinellas County detectives arrested an Oldsmar man after he video recorded himself performing sex acts on Siberian Husky dog.

According to detectives, their investigation began on Jan. 25 after a citizen living in another state contacted Pinellas County Animal Services regarding video and photographs on the internet of a man having sexual contact with a dog.

Detectives obtained copies of the videos and photos that show a man dressed in a black and white costume performing sex acts on the dog.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives tracked the video and photos back to Christian Nichols, 21.

On Monday, detectives made contact with Nichols at his home.

He admitted to detectives he made the video and shared it on the internet.

Nichols was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated animal cruelty.

He was taken to the Pinellas County Jail without incident.

The Siberian Husky and another dog were removed from the home by Pinellas County Animal Services.

Detectives say additional charges are likely.
